War Thunder

War Thunder

Statistiche:
libsciter-gtk.so missing on Manjaro Linux. Game fails to start
I run War Thunder on manjaro linux and the game stopped working after a recent update.

Running from the command line I can see that libsciter-gtk.so is missing:

./launcher [/home/berserk/.local/share/steam/steamapps/common/war] Unable to load library: /home/berserk/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/War Thunder/libsciter-gtk.so Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Installing libsciter-gtk-bin from AUR did not solve the issue.

I'm on Ubuntu and I have the exact same problem. If you solve this can you post your solution here?
szymon@Ryzen:~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/War Thunder$ ./launcher

Hopefully it gets fixed today, I couldn't handle loosing my daily login progress lol
did you guys try running the game client (aces) directly ?

just asking because Sciter is used for the launcher but i don't know if it is used by the game client (though this is from a Windows PoV ^^) - so while the launcher may not run the game client itself may be... worth a try imho.

if the client actually does run you may run into issues logging into the game as it is not started from Steam - in this case you should be able to use the 'web login' on the login screen (yet again - this button appear on the Windows client but i don't know if it does on the Linux client =/)
I was having that error until I downloaded the game installer from the web and extracted into ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/War Thunder/ replacing all duplicated files. Then I was able to at least open the launcher(shows without any problem) and execute the game through steam, although i can't see anything on screen the game seems to be running or something, it appears in the task bar.

I'm using Kubuntu 21.04 and an Nvidia GTX 1050ti with propietary drivers. X11 session.

On kubuntu 21.04 too
I can confirm the same for ArchLinux.
So, apparently the libsciter-gtk.so is missing. If you install it from AUR (libsciter-gtk) and either create a symlink or copy it to the launcher directory - launcher starts but crashes. Waiting for a fix.
Hi, Can you please submit a report here > https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/forum/920-moderated-bug-reports-linux/ Where one of our Linux Guru's can help you. Thanks
