Not true. The Sabre was capable of Mach 1 flight in a dive. However, it could not surpass Mach in level flight with its engine, and therefore is fine.
The MiG-15 had a built in feature to deploy the airbrake after a certain speed (Mach 0,95-0,97 iirc) to prevent the aircraft from speeds of over Mach 1, as dives in MiG's were supposedly very dangerous.
Some things from a technological complexity standpoint are challenging. As it has been explained to me, the more that's added is increased load times, server strain, and requirements for computers. Last I heard (1-2 years ago), the reason why there are no nukes is simply because it was too challenging to model.
