B-29 BR way to high

Spent about 150 hours unlocking the B-29 only to find out it's pretty much useless at it's current BR. Ive played about 10 games of RB and havn't dropped a single bomb, a lot of fun that is. I get up to above 20k feet and the first fighter that spots me can flight right up to me, one burst and I'm done. The fighters at 7.3 are far too powerful to make the B-29 of any use. Please, for the love of war thunder, reduce the BR to around 5.8 to 6.0 or make the aircraft more durable to withstand one strafing attack!

B-29A is part of the space program. So all you can do is side climb to the stratosphere and wait for bases to respawn for you to bomb and then keep climbing to space. The game time ends before you can even descend for airfield landing.

But if you get matched up against a premium su-11, then you are screwed no matter what.

yeah, about half of the games ive been shot down by the su-11 too..

I agree on this, It should be moved down to about 6.0 or 6.3, and yes it will still encounter jets if it gets into a 7.0 match but it would be less common (Hopfully). I think most B-29 pilots agree that their tired of going up and being shot down by jets in one strafe. I think the B-50 would suit 7.3 more then the B-29 does.

B-29 was a mistake in the game, great plane but a horrible choice for them to have it at the BR it is right now. Completely unplayable, too slow to fly, negative climb rate, recommended height of 9100 m but only spawns in at 4000 m, gunners been nurfed a while ago so they cannot defend themselves.

In all, this iconic bomber is not qualified to be at 7.0-7.3 BR because there are too many factors that are causing this bomber to be unusable such as speed, defense & bombing altitude. Its a Long Range Bomber, its not a Frontline Bomber so the bomber spawn should not be at the current low spawn point. There is a reason why they are different bomber types, why are they not following these clear distinctions.

Agreed. Plus the SL cost of losing one far outweighs the joys of getting killed before you can drop a single bomb.
