M7 Priest? (105mm Howitzer)...
I'm not sure what other reasons high caliber cannon SPGs gets added to other nations, but technically US could utilize one too, though the M8 could be one of them had the BR not be that high for it's 75mm gun.

Because the USSR T-26-1 uses a 76mm cannon and it's 1.3 BR.

The M8 can pen 89mm with its HEAT shell, while the T-26-4 can only pen 35mm with its APHEBC shell. thats why its got a higher BR.

Seeing as SturmPanzer II and the ♥♥♥ one are fricking OP in AB.. well.. i want other nations to have vehicles such as these !!

Sturmpanzer especially is load of fun whether the battle is on it's own BR or if you bring it to 8.0 for sh*ts and giggles.

The M7 Priest uses a 105mm gun.
The M12 GMC uses a 155mm gun.

155 mm (6.1 inch) M1917, M1918, or M1918M1 gun in Mount M4
10 rounds

During 1943, the vehicles were used for training or put into storage. Before the invasion of France, 74 M12s were overhauled in preparation for combat operations.[1] They were employed successfully throughout the campaign in North-West Europe. Although designed primarily for indirect fire, during assaults on heavy fortifications, the M12s were sometimes employed in a direct-fire role, such as in the Allied assault on the Siegfried Line, where the M12 earned its nickname "Doorknocker" thanks to the 155mm cannon's ability to pierce seven feet of concrete at ranges up to 2,000 yards (1,830 meters) (ironically the same epithet was given to the 37mm guns on the early Panzer III tank due to its inability to penetrate modern armored vehicles). The vehicle was also dubbed "King Kong" by American operators due to the raw power of its gun.

In 1945, the M12 was complemented in Europe by the M40 Gun Motor Carriage, designed on a late-war M4A3 Sherman chassis. Postwar, the M12 was retired from service and replaced by the M40.

So yeah, doorknocker, with 10 rounds but pretty much can instant kill anything up to a point.

Another 155mm SPG is the M41 Howitzer Motor Carriage.

Interesting thing is that the M41 is already taken by the walker bulldog light tank.
So this one is a M41 HMC.

Yes, but practically most SPGs used by the USA can direct fire.

M7 Priest is a M7, because it's made before the M8 Scott.
It also means it's likely being able to enter lower ranking BR than the M4 105mm.
Probably like the SU-8-1, it will have limited ammo as a result (M7 Priest has like 10 rounds?Or was that the M41 HMC?).

The M7 Priest has more than 10 rounds actually. 24 rounds. But then revised and re-arranged to hold 69 rounds by attaching storage compartments (basically mounting explosive ammo racks outside the tank).

Eventually, the M7 was replaced in British Army service by the Canadian-built Sexton (built from the Ram tank, itself a Canadian development of the American M3 Lee) beginning in 1943, armed with the British Ordnance QF 25-pounder main gun straight from the factory. The QF 25-pounder was essentially the British equivalent to the American M1 gun.
Basically the British gets their own SPG called the Sexton.

The Priest is based off the M3 Lee and M4 and M24.
The Sexton is based off of the Canadian M4 Ram.

The later M24 converted version, the M37 HMC, was utilized post-ww2:

Might be interesting if the M7 Priest gets it's own line of unlocking, from Rank 1 to Rank 2 to Rank 3.

M3 variant to M4 variant to M24 variant basically.

The reason is as you go up those variants, mobility, armor, and survivability increases a little.
From 15-24mph to 30-35mph.

There are a lot of US large gun TD/'Artillery' that need to be in the game. T92/T93, M55, M4x (a while bunch of them between 40-49), M7, M107, M108, M109, M110, et cetera. By the same Token the British are missing theirs, like the Abbot, Birch Gun, Bishop, et cetera. Most of which were capable of direct dire and negetive elevation.
