why do i have low FPS in this game?
so far in the couple days i played the games fps was around 30. i play upstairs but it has slow connection so i went downstairs and the internet is faster since the modem is right next to where i sat down, the internet is faster and i connect better but for some reason i got aroiund 15-18fps. As you can see that dosent make any sense and its bugging me cause the game is pretty fun and having low fps bums the experience for me. and yea 30fps, the game runs extremly smooth.

i also am able to run shogun 2 on high with some settings ultra high so i dont think its my graphic card or drive.

Internet connection speeds might affect lag/latency etc. but it shouldn't affect your overall framrate too much. I have noticed that packet losses have caused fps drops on occasion though.

What graphics card do you use? Drivers?
Also depends a lot on the map - some are very efficiently built but others have far too many objects to get good FPS on a mediocre PC. I easily get over 50FPS on most maps, but one of the Russian ones (the one with trees everywhere) it drops to about 15 :(
Thats weird, you should get way more than that. I run shogun 2 on ultra with around 40 fps but I run this game 80+ maxes out.

If you go back upstairs, does your framerate increase?
Having a stronger internet connection isn't really a good test to measure framerates. As others have said, list your specs. And again, some maps have more stuff to render than others, so that could be the issue.
i found the solution but its a extremly wierd one. i have an alienware m14x so its a gaming laptop. the solution i found was that when it was plugged in to the power brick the fps went up to a steady 35-40fps, highest was 60 fps. but when i took the charge cable out the fps automatically went down to 7-15fps. i know it sounds extremely wierd but i guess having it connected to the battery charger gave it higher fps for the game. i think thats why i had higher fps upstairs despite slow connection cause thats where i recharge my laptop and surf the web.

Nothing weird in that behaviour. This is how Windows power management works (not War Thunder fault) - by default, when laptop is not connected to the power source, system performance is decreased, so the laptop accumulator can last longer.
You can change that: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-power-management-on-windows-vista/

Keep in mind it empties the battery extremely quick if you always run on full performance.
Wow, changing the power plan to High Performance does help. Thx :3:Horzine:
