Wargaming stated many times that their main income comes from *surprise* Experience conversion. This "leveling system" created to suck your money - if you want to skip some stipid underpowered tank or plane you must pay or you can suffer while "leveling" those modules.
In WT you can progress just sticking around with planes that you like most.
You like to buy slots for every single plane with real money in order to fly them? You like selling your beloved plane just because you dont have free slot in hangar? You like to retrain crews with real money for every new plane?
*sigh* That's kinda masochistic preferences, but I'm not judging you..
Also adding to my previous compilation post. World of Warplanes now have "consumables".
I dont like "pay2win" definition, but that's probaly exactly what it is:
http://forum.worldofwarplanes.com/index.php?/topic/20467-official-051-consumables-and-equipment-feedback/
and you mean they dont in this game? youre just showing blind faith now..... and yes, i enjoy upgrading my tank or lane to another model based on the same tank or plane without having to buy a new slot *at least like it is in WoWP* both of these games are p2w, regardless of how you sugar coat it. hell you can even boost yourself in this game but converting the nations free xp to add to its overall level......that means if you dont want to, you can just skip ahead two levels to get to the shiney stuff...... neither of these games are perfect, but trying to act like it is is just dumb. OP asked which is better, and i tried my best to give an even opinion. and honestly, i do like how they do some of the stuff in wowp.....hadnt had to buy a slot yet due to how theyre modules are set up. but in wot and wt, i have to buy slots for certain planes. the problem comes when wt prices scale when wot has a set price....and even have sales on them so you can get them for cheap at times. i guess i like having more planes/tanks to play with rather than sitting around flying/driving the same ones or in wots case, waiting for them to get out of battle when i can go into battle with another tank i have of play with friends that might have lover level tanks.
hell if anything this should be a what was can both of these games be better thread instead of yet another vs thread
Actually, that IS the plan for the World Of games. All three world of games are going to merge into a single warfare system. The xp and money of Tanks and Planes is already linked. After World of Battleships comes out they will start making maps and gamemodes that feature all forces together.
Ok not heard this one so evidence and proof please or I call this c**p
me neither, but i do know when you log in, it looks as if you can select which world of game you could play....which has been in WoT sense it was launched. its like you can open WoT and select WoWP or whatever if they choose to link it like that. but im not sure
I have listed existing features that currently presented in WT and WoWP/WoT. There is no "blind faith", only facts.
i think the right choice would be DCS p51, but you have to actually buy that XD.
they are only merging the economy
WT has everything under one launcher
and if you and me are in a squad you can grab a plane while i can grab a ship and play on the same map at the sametime
you could even land on my aircraft carrier for repairs etc
while WT will have 3 way maps that have all the toys in play (not counting static defences) in play by human players
this is something that wargaming said was impossible to do multiple times
some in wargaming games you will always have tanks vs tanks planes vs planes ships vs ships
and in clanwars they will be able to support clan actions but never engage outside their element
P.S. i also want proof that wargaming decided to do a 180 like microsoft did to copy some ideas that some other company has
Comparing it to WT is nearly an insult in my opinion.
It's like arcade mode, but in HB mode where you gotta land to reload, but cannot land because the game doesn't let you.
Then again, WoWP has WAY better matchmaking because it's more simplier based on tiers.
It's not like you'll find BF109s trumping your entire team a few times in MM, and your own team doesn't have it's own counter to that.
The MM in WoWP is based on pure statistical comparison between each players to see if there are any 'technological' advantage, and if so, reduces the tech of the team with the higher tech with low tech players.
For WT? Woop-de-doo, it doesn't care if you have strong lineups alongside all ranks, so long as the max rank is a certain amount to be MM into it.
5x rank 7-8 planes for instance, and BF109 outmatches most planes in the same rank.
But other players might have lower ranked planes, thus 'weaker' tech on their team overall. But the MM doesn't check for that and sometimes throw rank 5-7 planes on one team with 6-8 on another.
also all the warthunder planes was real models or at least experimental planes meanwhile most of wowp are projects which newer flow.
