Yoke And Pedals tips and tricks?

I have started useing a yoke and pedals rather then mouse aim. I can fly the plane well enough using these controls, but for the life of me I can not aim worth a damn. Even stationary ground targets are a challenge. Anyone have some tips they could share? or am I really just making life harder on myself by using these?

Some seem to like it and can manage to set it up. Me I cant get mine to act like this. Kinda would like some help myself.

Think the problem with mine is its a Saitk st290 pro but the x-y axis seems to have a physical deadspace which is really preventing me from aiming right.

I am using the turtlebeach velocity one but I am having an issue: I only see the rear view. It does not let me change view

Best tip if you don't fly sim mode:
Learn to use mouse and keys, don't use HOTAS & pedals.
Track IR is optional.

Flying may be better with HOTAS & pedals, but you'll neven be able to be as precise in aiming as with a mouse (in WT that is).
