What am i doing wrong?

Hello all,

Hoping for some help on this as i am very confused. No matter what plane i am in, everytime i get someone in my sights my gun jams! Every time, even if i havent fired once in the whole battle! They not only jam once, but as soon as they unjam, one tiny burst and jammed again, continously, all battle.

Wheras everyone around me is firing continous burst with happy abandon! I dont get it? What am i doing wrong? Is it a bug? It is literally happening in every plane...my guns are not even firing enough to overheat. Its almost like i get someone near my sights and my guns will switch off before i can hit them. It is the most frustrating thing ever.

So please could anyone tell me is there something i have missed or am doing wrong? This is a great game but this is crazy....sometimes i fire just one shot and they guns will stop!

What tiers and game type? I had a similar issues with the first tiers and the bi-planes where the gun would jam quite a bit.
Other than that, try spending some crew points on Weapon Maintainence, or as above, it could just be a bug.

I have a few planes including a Tier 10....happens on every one. Its so annoying. Literally as soon as i open up and as soon as the player comes into the sights.....clunk....gun stops....and goes to a 10 second reload! Its not even jamming, its reloading everytime, even if i have literally shot 10 bullets :(

What plane are you using if it is a P63/P39/YAK 9 T/K

You may also want to look into your weapons maitance skill.

You could be hitting the reload key? - Try remapping it and see if that helps.

Solved it guys! I was using an x box controller which i thought would be better. Basically as soon as i pressed fire on a target and locked on....clunk one short dribble goes to reload....goes off target after reload and bam could blast away like a good un! So i thought i would unplug controller and try the mouse. Well what a difference.......long bursts of fire like you wouldnt believe....i have gone from being bottom of the scorecard to top!

Finally i can enjoy this exellent game....and everything sems so much easier now i can actually shoot at people. I have played so many games with effectively one handed tied behind my back that now i am flying like i am in a F15 and not a Hurricane. For some reason x box controller doesnt target very well either? Mouse is much more precise.

So a cautionary tale.....put the x box controller down....it seems to be bugged and pick up the mouse :)

Hmm, what to do... not sure

burst 2 secondes cooldown 1 rinse and repeat till target is dead
also boost your crew stats hmmm the last on the bottom on ground crew upgrades its called weapon maintenance i think this helps with the gun jamming

You have to put points on crew s weapon maintenance!!!
