Im sorry, but russian t-54 is just too strong for its BR

The gun has great pen when combined with explosive rounds and basically can deflect almost everything if the player is slightly good at angling the vehicle or using the mobility. I play French which are obviously meant as flanking vehicles, but the t-54 is just as fast

No argument here its pretty strong for 7.7 IMO they should go up to 8.0 the T55s all went up to a more reasonable BR recently.

You should be able to pen it's cheeks/Mantle and kill the turret crew or breach easily enough, I mostly have experience fighting them in Tiger II's and M48's so maybe whatever you're using cant but the mantle is the way to go.

im having flashbacks of when 'top tier' was panther IIs, tiger II Hs and Jagdtigers against t54s...

granted between volumetric and the changed damage calculations we have had since then its not exactly the same matchup it was but we managed

t-54s have very poor turret traverse so although quite mobile they cant be as aggressive (They can keep up with you but that turret traverse means they will struggle to get on target)also at 8.0 they see a lot of heat/apds which will easily go through fully angled armour. In practice the vehicle is a less capable leo 1.
For lower br tanks they are a bit more of a threat just go for turret as a decent player will try and block your shell with that fuel tank

Just to make sure you are not talking about the t55 since they look the same but are very different in capability

Yet NATO 300 pen HEATFS would just go straight in. Yes I'm talking about 6.3 Jpz45, and murican have more than 3 of them under 6.7, and t54 are 7.7... its armor might he op against solid wwii rounds, but anything NATO would cut through it like a knife to the butter. I remember the only time I lose to t54 in melee is when it starts spraying mg on my gun barrel to break my HEATFS halfway

They're not good tanks at 8.0, the only thing they bring to the table is shell variety. They are easily outclassed by other tanks and there's no point pulling them out in uptiers.

I basically tried to skip them as much as possible cause they are just not that good lmao, but the t-55's at 8.3 and 8.7 are pretty good and definitely no joke.
