Churchill NA75 at 4.3 makes no sense gaijin
Churchill III with 6 pounder - 4.0 BR, better turret armor, stabilizer, 110 mm of pen at 500 meters, 4,82 second reload (4 sec reload with max crew), face only prototype VK panther in max uptier
Meanwhile Churchill NA75 - 4.0. BR, worse turret armor, no stabilizer, 90 mm of pen at 500 meters, 6,26 seconds of reload (5 seconds with max crew), can face panther D, Tiger H1 in max uptier.
Gajijin, why?

I agree it is completely backwards

Firstly, you're missing a crucial fact about the NA75, it has HE filler. This makes it far more practical to engage heavily armored targets with specific weakpoints (Shots through the turret of a VK are far more likely to disable it than the III), as well as meaning you need less shots overall to kill targets. There's very few things the 6 pounder will pen that the M3 won't, and you do have the ability to kill just about everything you see with a good shot. A reminder that the Jumbo makes the same gun and shells work at 5.3, albiet with better armor and a shot stop stabilizer.

Secondly, the turret armor is effectively better. Both have 89mm of armor on the turret front, but unlike the III, where it's 89mm effective across the entire turret face, the NA 75 has volumetric armor and a mantlet, meaning there's only a very narrow strip of armor that's actually 89mm thick. The rest is much thicker, with some areas able to block almost anything you'll see. It still probably won't save you, especially in an uptier, but it is still an upgrade.

They just aren't meta vehicles, and you can't really expect to do well in them at anything but a downtier. But, the NA75 is still a slightly better vehicle overall.

NA75 and VII should both go down a BR, but Gaijin seems reticent to do that.

I swear Churchill III was 4.3 once

Yeah but the thing with Jumbo is that Jumbo actually have armor at 5.3 that still somewhat works in its uptiers (unless you meet vehicles with king's tiger gun or big derp cannons.), mobility and 50. calls, so comparing churchill na75 to jumbo is very stupid.

My point was you can make the gun work even at 5.3, you can certainly make it work at 4.3. And since it's APHE unlike the other Churchill guns, shots into cupolas become a viable tactic. That means even in a maximum uptier, against the German big cats or other heavies like the IS-1, you can still kill them frontally. In fact, in a full uptier, there's only a handful of tanks that you cannot penetrate anywhere that are threats to you, that's not bad for a heavy.

And again, you can just not play it in full or partial uptiers. Or at least save it until late game. That's the whole point of having a lineup.

FYI: For those who somehow manage to compare Sherman Jumbo to Churchill NA75 take into consideration that Jumbo has actual armor, mobility, 50. call machine gun, decent turret traverse and APCR just in case.

the Churchill NA75 doesnt exactly have any armour as in most can punch straight through the turret armour at its own br so unless in a full downtier you only have theoretical armour

Exactly! I don't understand why Aegis make excuses for Churchill NA75 when it's very bad heavy for it's BR meanwhile we have Germany with panzer 4's (G modification at 3.3 and H modification at 3.7) have almost 100 mm of armor thanks to additional track armor and have decent gun at it's BR and decent mobility.

If this vehicle needs a BR reduction, it would happen in the next BR review (whenever that may be). So just keep an eye on that and whenever it comes check if the NA75's BR has been reduced.
