Community thoughts on Challenger 2 TES vs OES?

We Brit mains have accepted that you have no intention of ever fixing the Chally's armour/ERA. Fine, whatever. We can read between the lines, stop trying to placate us.

But thoughts on the CR2 TES vs OES? Would you consider buying it for $50?

I am failing to see any major difference between the TES and the OES. The OES gets 20mm structural steel plates over the turret era and a .50 on the roof. The skin is even the same as the TES.

As someone who plays the TES, (and has an admitted soft spot for the lumbering cripple) I don't see why anyone would pay $50 for a .50 machine gun. Other than its a top tier premium at rank 32 out of 33 (counting each BR level the BR system, stop trying to say that these are not top tier premiums)

Fair enough, its my favorite version as well.

I just don't see enough difference for a $50 second spawn when the 2F is just a better TES. 5 tonnes lighter with the same level of armour (seriously, does gajin just assume the extra 5 tonnes of ERA make no difference are are merely cosmetic?)

i mean one of the reasons its my favorite is that i perform best with TES and not other chally 2s not even black night, i mean if i didnt already have top tier in britain i'd definitely buy it

I do wonder what the stats will be like after all the tes is probably the worst top mbt add on to that it being a premium with mostly new players

A few days in and I have only seen one player in it with a second Chally in their line up. I don't think I have seen anyone go positive in it. When I ask in game what people think, its mostly silence from the particular player, but everyone else who's played the Chally's laugh at them in chat.

So I recently joined the top tier, and let me tell you, Britain suffers, at least in war thunder. And the difference between TES and OES is NOTHING. they both are slow, they both have unreliable armour, and ERA stuff doesn't help a bit cause almost no one uses ATGM in top tier.

However 75% of people I've seen IN GAME, Had the OES, and every time I'm wondering why people bought it when they can just get the TES FOR FREE

I didn't get it as I have already got the TES and my 11.7 line-up is 5 MBTs, all Challenger 2s. The OES has no place in my line-up.

If I remember well the EOS is the TES but with premium multipliers, I like challengers so it's nice for my lineup and can make bank with it, but there is no real reason to pick it over a talisman for the TES if you want that RP boost
