How to play the F4E

Trying to use it to grind the F15 and i remember why i stopped playing it.

People keep saying "its good, its just that you suck, git gud." or "its the pilot not the plane." I have literally tried everything in the book and nothing works other than the usual base bombing, tried passively but nope team is all dead and dies anyways cuz there's an enemy the snuck up behind/above me or i get nothing, use of missile nope cuz radar is garbage unless its pointing up but thats rare, tried turning fighting yea thats a big nope even though it has agile eagle it can't compete with a J35XS nor a F-16A and it loses speed quickly, tried using speed to run away but enemy catches up, head-on sometimes it works but an all-aspect missile will kill me, tried to intercept base rushers nope cuz they have escort. The only viable tactic is literally base rushing.

How am I supposed to dogfight MiG-29s, F-16s and every other jet than can do everything better. I want an actually response to how and I'm willing to read an academic long comment just to improve other than hearing the git gud or skill issue argument cuz the F4E is nothing more than a free kill for the enemy with 90% of my games are me getting stomped, and an SL waster, cuz apparently these players that say the F4E is good can hard carry games and even dogfight MiG-29s.

F-4E sucks ass against anything above 11.0, its still competitive downtier

F-4E is trash because the most planes at this BR has PD (Pulse Doppler Radar) and good SARH missiles with BVR ability and the F-4E has non. The only thing that is nice on it are the eagle slats with their flight performance but at the end its only a consolation prize.

Just hope things get decompressed or it gets moved to 10.7 like the F-5E was

You don’t have the confidence to fly it. Fly it like you mean it. Fast, strong, unkillable. The reason why people see F-4Es as free kills is because they act like one. Fly straight and try to run or try to base rush. You need to fly it like a phantom E. Made to dogfight. Don’t give those MiG-29s and F-16s an inch. They get on your tail and shake them or make them overshoot. MiG-29s are horrible at low speeds, but the F-4E loves it there. You can out rate everyone (except F-16s) with flaps and your agile eagle. I cannot stress this enough, but you gotta play it like a dogfighter. First in the fight, last out. They won’t expect it. If you still have trouble, try to flank the battlefield and come from behind, but remember once in the furball, always in the furball. Don’t try to leave, that’s how they kill you. The F-4E is my favorite plane in this game. It’s just the pinnacle of the U.S. heavy fighter line. I’d take it over the MiG-29 even.
