I absolutely despise Panthers.

They are such a paper tiger (no pun intended). Absolutely no firepower, side hits on shermans not penning. Getting one shot frontally, doesn't matter about angling because hey, the Americans finally have good guns in this tier. German engineering? I don't know anymore, since the mantle is apparently made from bubblegum.

All I want is to get past this absolutely mind-numbing BR because I wanted to mess around with some modern German tanks for a change. I have no idea why I would do that anymore. Then just because Gaijin is sadistic, nearly every tank I have left to unlock is.... a panther.

Screw the Panther.

The best part is the strength of this tank and others like it is negated by facing vehicles made 20-30 years in the future. So now you're slow, with a slow turret and no stabilizer, facing stuff that is faster with fast turrets and stabilized turrets that can pop you on the go.

Gaijin logic: BR's don't care about advancements in technology and ridiculous matchups.. BR rankings only care about how much people die without kills while playing a certain vehicle. Gotta keep the kiddies happy who used moms credit card to pay for high tier and are bad at the game.

Dead serious that is the best BR there is. Top tier is toxic as heck and depending on what you play as expensive to play with very little reward even for good gameplay resulting in wins.

Don't rush to high tier learn to love the BR you are at.

Panther doesn't seem bad you make it out to be. Except maybe for the VK.

M36's may penetrate you with devastating firepower from the front, but these guns are mounted on paper tank open tops.

Pather A in a nutshell
Fantastic armour able to bounce shells at range
Incredible cannon likely 1 hit most targets with a bit of aiming
Respectable mobility
A mantle thats volumetric hell often absorbing most fire

The only con is the reverse gear otherwise its almost a perfect vehicle though i will adtmit the pather d turret traverse is painful

churchill is good in a full down tier in a cqc map but its defiantly could go down 0.3 of a br just to make sure it cant see tigers

"Good in a downtier" should not be the measure of accomplishment that should convince people to use a vehicle.

I have definitely been in those ruts before and it can be so infuriating to spade a vehicle where nothing goes right in any matches, I just try my best to push through them and have a huge sigh of relief when i am done with them haha.

its not even good in a downtier, i would smash way harder in a t-34-57 than a churchill. heck gib me a panzer 4 f2 and i will smash ezpz or even a m4a2.

HECK, give me a kv1 zis-5 or a t1e1, or a bloody chi-nu or pkv 3, any of these would be better at 4.7 or 4.3 than the churchill

BR is based off of the capability of the tank,plane or ship
If you want to go off of the year they were made then you would have stuff like AMX-13(FL-11) facing IS-3 or Panzer 2 facing KV-1 or ASU-57 facing M48 Patton, now tell me what tank you would prefer to be in?

Panthers are one of the most OP vehicles in the game, their current BR is absolutely ridiculous compared to T-34-85 and M4A3(76)...Armor, Speed and OP gun makes them absolutely broken, along with their troll armor (mantlet bouncing or eating rounds which should pen)....i tried doing absolute BS things in Panthers and they always worked out, no one could pen me and i always one shot them...your problem sounds like a serious skill issue, which is why german tanks are so under BRd, because people playing them are bad, but if a good player gets in one, they are unstoppable...only meeting things like IS-2 or Pershing can somewhat stop them, but if the IS-2 misses or gets trolled by Panther's armor, it had it (27s reload time)...and don't forget IS-2s are 6.0 and 6.3....something like T-34-85 or Sherman is absolutely hopeless against Panthers.

The Panthers are great at medium to long range engagements, don't make the mistake of bringing it into a close quarter fight.
