Just Got the F105 and any tips for sims for bombing?
Started to sorta memorize which bases on the map relate to some numbers but i noticed the F105s CCIP/CCRP sight doesnt mar the base rather its on a "timer"
Any tips for using this in sims besides yknow the fact im already vulnerable to IR Missiles just so im not scratching my head as to where the bases are when im using napalm

Bombing in sim with jets is a skill in itself, as you mentioned, your hud won't tell you. The best advice I can give is to mark manually when you spot the target and then fly to it. Cycling through the bases won't help since there can be many and the game will not tell you if you marked the correct one, at least last I checked.

But it is a game of flying there by yourself, visually confirming, then marking the base and dropping.

As for avoiding enemies, fly low and try to trust your gut. If you feel like something is on you, something is probably on you, and even if it isn't then it doesn't hurt to evade and confirm.

Last I used the F-105 in SIM EC, I would try finding smaller lobbies (like 3-5 players on each side), and I tried avoiding others. Obviously, if someone wants to engage you, your best defense is speed. (Edit: Generally, I would run without my radar running so enemies would not get pings from me, and just keep an eye on where friendlies were. Sometimes you can collect enemy players with the 9E's who aren't paying attention once your napalm has been dropped.)

I don't think I ever tried using the bomb release permissions or mission targeting points, I just set the ballistic sight to bombs and used it to bomb with napalm. minibases, start at maybe 3-4km and throttle down a bit to have time to make any adjusting maneuvers, and for airfields, make sure that you stay above ~5km, the SAM's don't engage targets that high. The F-105 can avoid the SAM's with maneuvers, but all the same, I just as soon prefer to not have them shoot at me.

Personally, I enjoyed the A7's more, the HUD for bombing is more friendly from what I remember. (Nice big vertical line to help you stay on target to the base, as well as the sliding drop point).

For Sure just making Sure just in case their was a fan of the F105 to help me but this thing is super temporary til i get the F-111 which that has the Bomb Marker in the HUD right? actually i can test drive that later but i guess i could use the F105 for a mixed loadout for denmark get the 3000 pounders for the carrier and napalm for bases that are closer to water cause this thing feels good for bombing
I couldn't comment on the F-111 tbh, it was added while I was on break and I haven't unlocked it yet. Been having too much fun with the F-15A and F-16ADF, also need to touch up my VR headset if I'm gonna play sim.

but yeah i have the A7k and thats just very good as well for my base bombing runs in Realistic i can "catapult" bombs if i do it right but thats in realistic not SIM whcih that auto bomb release is finicky but i could activate a self made target point if need be
