second: weaponry > switch primary/ switch secondary weapons
third: scroll down from switch primary and secondary weapons you will see the counter measures options just below that yaw and pitch for aimed weapons then laser designator. all the radar options you ask for are located here.
if you dont see some options displaying set the controls at the top to full real controls and then look at the list again.
Ok
1. Did it and got the throttle slider linked with throttle up and down. But now the keyboard setup keys don't work 😅 like I had 'w' for maximum value up and 's' for value down. Now the throttle value either goes straight to wep/110% or just a stuck number. It's working via slider fine but now via keyboard input anymore.
2. Got it. Do they cycle between let's say aamram and sidewinders via that?
I only have the F100 unlocked now so I cannot test switching between the missile types
3. Yup found them. Have set them up but won't be able to test till I get an aircraft with radar
weapon select primary and secondary will cycle through all weapons equipped on the plane (you can test controls in test flight using a premium plane and should have access to everything including radar).
Will do that .
Do you think it's better to play using HOTAS in realistic air battles ? Or is one better off with mouse aim?
I used to fly mouse in RB, it's quite good for the fighting. But I got so used to flying sim on full real controls I ended up staying with that control set for RB. Try it and see what fits best for you. Sim settings allow some interesting moves you cannot easily do with a mouse and keyboard.
Thanks
I did setup most keys and played one sim air battle. It's interesting and different for sure due to no markers and trying to IFF before engaging someone
