Who's on the red team when you click "To Battle"?

other players. You're friendlies always appear as blue, and hostiles as red. Your opponents see you as red.

I thought it might be something like that, but I and my friends have noticed that we always start from the same side of every map. Not once have any of us ended up on the other side, even playing alone. Is there a way to chose the other side?

In Historical Battles (Realistic, sorry), each side has a specific airfield, and you will ALWAYS spawn there. Forinstance, on Sicily, Germany will start in the West, and US/UK in the East. Period.

In Arcade, i think its random.

No, my friends and I play Arcade all the time and always start from the same side. Can't speak to the other modes, though.

How much time have you played in WT? My friend and I played about 70 hours before we got both spawns on every map.

One friend has about 75 hrs., I have about 119 hrs.

its purely random although some maps have almost symmetrical looking starting points but aside from that phoenix is right

I understand the generally symetrical map concept, but that just doesn't do it. Take the "Lonely Island" map, for example. Very obviously, not a symmetrical map. But we have always started from one side. Never from the other. I can't tell you how many times we have played that map, but it's got to be 20 or so. If it's truly supposed to be random, we, or any of us alone, should have started on the other side at least once. Where do you get your info? Is it personal experience or is there somewhere I can look this up? Kinda bugging me.

im sure theres a thread on the forum somewhere but i just am going from what ive experienced since ive been playing (patch1.27 is when i started) and i have spawned on both sides of maps in arcade it could be that because your in a squad its automaticallly putting you on one team in matchmaking which just soo happpens to be starting on the particular side i really dont know i havent really heard anyone bring this up before. if anything check the forums on the warthunder site if theres any info on it it will be there. sorry i couldnt give u anything beyond speculation

but it bugs me, it bugs me that theres a thread about "i wanna join red team"

i thought that too,but i have started from both sides on every map,were talking 1000 sorties plus mind

Thanks all. I'll check the WT site. And KonCussive, first: I never said "i wanna join red team". The question is one of curiosity. Second: if it bugs you so much I would suggest not reading it!
