cause from my experience the corsair is quite the plane in hb/sb
The reason why the Americans did so well in WW2 with planes with these is not because they had solo pilots, but pilots working as a team. Grab the attention of the enemy, drag them behind you, and have your teammates pounce on them. The propagandist Tokyo Rose from Japan tried to goad American pilots into turnfighting with their planes instead of being such "cowards" for their hit and run attacks.
As a solo pilot it is definitely more difficult as you need to be more patient, cautious and make the most of every opportunity.
