Can i gift my friend a plane or tank pack from online store?

You'd have to give them the money or log into their account, Gaijin doesn't do "gifting".

They do, or they did, but I think it's stricter now and they've tried to close regional pricing loopholes.

My wife and I had in the past gifted things to each other through the Gaijin webstore

Yes you can, go to the store, click on whatever you want to buy and then click "Buy as Gift", it'll bring up a window where you enter their player ID and once purchased they will receive an email.

I'd recommend waiting ~two months however as the anniversary sale will drop in November.

I only have the option: ''buy'' and ''add to cart'' is it because i'm using steam version of warthunder?

Are you on the website and logged in through a browser (not steam browser)? I just logged in to confirm, and clicking on a tank for example, has Buy, Add to Cart, Buy as a Gift

I'm on the website right now and i indeed see the option to gift now althrough before i'm clicking anything i'm looking at the ''rules'' and it somewhere says this: ''You can use any payment method to purchase gifts except GJN coins''

So that's a big rip since i want to gift dora pack to my friend using gjn coins since i just sold my 279 for like 1000 gaijn coins... SAD.

Yeah it does... i know Gaijn probably won't change this rule but i really hope they do. I kinda have to many Gaijn coins now can u believe it? And 0 idea what to spend it on since i personally only want a companion to my T54E1 and that's about it... and even for that i will most likely wait on a sale like u said, in 2~ months right?

Yeah the anniversary sale, which is usually the largest sale of the year, starts in late October/early November, definitely wait for that if you want to buy anything.

It has to do with a combination of curbing fraud, stolen credit cards, and making account access less desirable.

Right now, if you purchase a vehicle with a stolen credit card. They would remove the vehicle, and ban your account.

GJN comes from a market where another player is effected. Also, if you could buy gifts for other accounts with GJN, there's more incentive for people to gain access to other people's accounts. As it stands currently, if someone were to get access to your account, they could only buy/spend things on your account, not use your funds to buy things on their own from yours.


It sucks, but there's some logic to it

you can from the steam store, not sure about the gaijin store tho. just do purchase as gift at the checkout.
