the problem with the tier 2 shermans unless ur hitting weakspots on the russian tanks u have to be point blank on ther sides
as for shermans beeing op i can take them out with a kv 1 at point blank there in the right tier for there armour if there up a tier on that bases then the kvs should be upped a tier as there armour is around the same
The Tiger is currently at 5.7 BR. If you drop it down to 4.7 it would be fighting the KV-1 with the L-11 gun, which is incapable of penetrating its frontal armor at ANY range, and can only penetrate its side/rear armor at under 10 meters with its APBC ammo.
The T-34-1942 wouldn't fare much better, as it would have to get under 100 meters to engage with APBC and under 500 with APCR.
Currently the tiger sits at 4.7, the same as the IS-1, which seems quite reasonable to me. The Tiger I has to fight the IS-2 and SU-100, and the IS-1 has to fight Tiger IIs and Jadgpanthers.
I play as all the factions for everything.
I am a hypocrite apparently.
You're a fucking idiot. close the thread. This guy just wants to cry and is thoroughly convinced American tanks are OP despite the fact that their engines catch on fire from front hits, their drivers always get knocked out, their ammo is located in ezpz spots, they can get rammed and flipped, and their horizontal turret drive breaks if anything touches it.
I specifically try to avoid playing the T-34 as Russia just because of how completely OP it is. It's incredibly easy. Fast, Well armored, Good cannon. The only challenging opponents are other T-34s. I don't care if anyone's argument is "That's how it was in real life." ok, I won't argue it. Yeah, it was good. It's still just a crutch tank for people that can't play the actual game.
If you're going to start talking about OP tanks, you start with Russia and work your way down. All this "Omg fix ameritanks" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is all coming from the Russia fanbois that are sad that they can't just shoot the driver's slat like they can with completely butt-raped Germany.
If you want to start the insult war, we can do this all day. I've got plenty.
If you'd like to have a rational debate, I'll indulge you. Their engines do NOT catch on fire from frontal hits. If I can't pen them from the front, how would the engine catch fire? Their ammo is no better. I can't pen the turret to hit an ammo rack. Then again, this is with both my T-34 and KV-1 utilizing the L-11 gun with APBC ammo. Esssentially, good ammo for a bad gun.
Russia fanboi? I guess being born and indoctrinated into USSR propaganda is being a "fanboi". Alright.
If you have worthwhile input, by all means, share.
If you have this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, don't comment.
mate US tanks are the easist to catch on fire in the game. US tanks in tier 1-2 with some early tier 3 have utter garbage ammo and they have the most easy ammo spots to hit.
It's great that KV-1-L11 and T-34's have to work for a kill. no more Russian easy mode for your scrub arses.
what? upset that you are no longer the big fish? The M4A3 105mm has had it's BR rightfully changed. now all we need is the 75mm M4-A1-A2 to hav thier BR lowered to 2.7-3.0 then we'd be on equal level.
Why do you keep referring to the Soviets as if they've fallen from OPness? Never were OP, even when I played Germans against them. A quick shot with a STUG would pop any tank I saw open.
sigh,. Why do i keep refering them as OP? Because they are! Plain and simple. they have the best BR and ammo choices. Which StuG? the shor 75mm couldn't do squat to a T-34.
It was the long barrel version, same gun as the PZ. IV F2. I've been killed in my T-34 model 1940 so many times by short barreled StuGs though. I'll have a broken track or some other issue, and one will come speeding in from the side and detonate my ammo/light my engine on fire.
You have to take into account the 6-8 second reload (I think it's 8.1 seconds). Although I only had trouble breaking in StuGs when I used 45mm rounds or the godawful 76mm gun on the T-28.
