If you stop near them, I believe it will prompty pressing the repair button.

there no repair button you mean that key button 0? thats a hook if someone press 0 and you see that thing above hes tank and you also press 0 and aim at him and if ur close enough you can tow :) its really handy if someone is stuck or got flipped over

Bro...learn to read, after the quoting he wrote - "just like when your tank is damaged". Meaning that the same button works, meaning that he is talking about something else besides repairing your own tank, hence the line - "just like your tank"... meaning it's not for his tank, but the function is the same...

I think you can only repair the tank that you are paired up with at the start of the round not every tank in your team

Only players names that are green (squad mates) can be assisted. If you are not with a friend, you usually get paired with a person at the start of a match or you may not. You can't help just anybody (blue name).

how about when you are in an aircraft, and it shows up above a squadmate? It happens for me, but I cannot repair them

I don't fly much (or that close to others) but I think that is a glitch. Repairing aircraft should only be able to be done on an airfield.

Let's stop yelling at each other and simplify.

In air battles, if you land near a friendly at th field, for a brief amount of time (until you roll too far I guess) it give you a prompt to assist in the repair.
