How much would it cost for a fresh to buy everything in this game outright?
From a new account, to get every vehicle and crew fully levelled up. Has anyone ever worked it out? To make it a complete game I bet it would be in the thousands.

I just invested plenty of time mostly.
I been playing just over a week now and have put in over 100 hours and £18 (a steam pack and 1000 eagles) . Have barely scratched the surface.

No, it's not thousands. I had 20,000 golden eagles and I've spent most of it on planes and SOME crew skills. If we included all of the packs, you're looking at roughly $350 or so to get everything unlocked provided you do all the footwork for the stuff that isn't premium.

A year if you have a life
I've been playing for almost 1.5 years, I got all the planes, most of them expert, and most tanks. Took me almost a year to get my first jet since I played every aircraft I unlocked to expert first before continuing.

Here is a breakdown of the costs to upgrade crews. A little over 2000 GE's for each plane crew. A little under 4000 GE's for each tank crew .
Better save your allowance. lol

Then there is the cost of premium units if you are really made of money.

I believe this was once tested in 1.29.. from memory it was about $400 and a fair few hours of play to save up Free XP. Of course this won't be accurate any more since the 1.37 system was integrated.

I read this one a while back.. but I don't know how it compares to todays research values.

"I spent over $800 on this game I purchased over 200 aircraft and modified them before the patch so that after the patch. I would not have to spend anything more and would be set to move into the Jets." - Dec 2013

Yikes. I'm all for entertainment, but $800 is excessive to say the least.

I spent about $150 on this game over the years. I only buy 75% off premium planes and tanks or the bundles on sale. I also only buy the years worth of premium when its half off. I got about 1200 or so hours of play time after playing for two years.

I got 6 crews for every nation, i play arcade and I'm up to tier 5 in all the planes though I don't play them much anymore. Everything in tier 4 and down planes is upgraded but not expert on most of them.

Tanks I played when they first came out and just picked them back up again. I'm just getting into 6.0-6.7 BR tanks for germans and russians with everything below 5.7 fully upgraded.

So I guess that sums up playing through the grind with a little pay.

I've got most planes in each nation, started playing in 1.29 but only really made progress after 1.33. I think I've spent about $150 on the game in total and now have quite a few of the jets including a few top tier ones.

All in all $150 + 500 hrs will get you to tier IV in all nations and then a bit extra from then on will get you to the jets. Keep in mind I'm just a slightly above average player so if you're legendary at this game you will probably unlock things faster than me.

This is the exact question I want to ask and want answered. It'd be THOUSANDS of US Dollars and this game ain't worth that. The overall cost needs to be reduced to a large magnitude and rely more on more people BUYING their stuff rather than making it all so costly that no one buys anything. I think the game would make more money.

Also, any of the comments here saying something like "Spent time", should just be deleted by a MOD/ ADMIN since it has nothing at all to do with the topic.

How about mods delete your comment instead? Afterall you broke forum rules by digging out and inappropriately touching an 10 year old thread
