Army planes on navy battles
I have always wondered, especially when playing as the Japanese and the Americans, what do I do when I fly an Army plane in a Navy battle, specifically ones where there are not team-owned ground airfields to land on (I know Guadalcanal and New Guinea have airfields, so no problem there).

I went on a battle on Saipan as a bomber (I had never flown as a bomber on Realistic battles, so I was curious, but I did expect to get on the Chinese map). A single 800 lb bomb to use. I wanted to know where to land, and the team went on a whole ♥♥♥♥♥ - fest about me asking where to land when I said I could not land on a carrier as an Army bomber. One accused me of not flying a navy plane, so I wanted to know if I were missing anything?

Can I choose whether or not to play Navy games?
Is there a way to effectively land an Army bomber on a carrier?
Are there other ways for Army planes to reload that I am missing?

I don't feel like I should ONLY be allowed to play Navy planes JUST because of the possibility of getting onto a carrier battle. Army planes are part of the game, so I feel I have full right to play Army planes, unless you guys think otherwise.

nope, you don't land a bomber on a Carrier. Normally a bomber will fly to it's target, drop it's pay load then fly back to the airfield in the main land. But since you can't do it here, the only way is Kamikaze...one of the reason why I stay away from Realistic and Sim..cuz I fly 3 bombers.

I figured. I know that is realistic, but I thought maybe Gaijin had some gameplay-ie mechanic that allowed heavier bombers to be relevant (and no, B-17 air-sweeper does not count).

Personal opinion, but I think it is stupid to leave planes without effective roles, but I am no game designer.

Yeah, it really does not work well together in this case, when you are the attacker on Saipan in bomber. You have to wait for your ground forces to cap the airport (which you help them by bombing something) and then you can land there. But usually at that stage the game is almost over, or even if you try to land there, it is so close to all enemies that you will get shot down on the runway.

Not impossible to land bombers on carriers, though, I'm unsure about larger bombers like the Lancaster:

Ok so I found a vid of the largest bomber so far (Japanese) landing on a carrier as well.

And a Lancaster, I stand corrected:

Lol, I'm sure those guys weren't either, it just takes a ♥♥♥♥ load of practice. I still crash my planes on landed airfields haha.

Now, if only they can take off...

I don't think you'll be able to take off, which makes the whole exercise pointless, or can somebody confirm, they can actually take off? Or is the bomber put in the air after rearming?

Possible in a B17 so I would assume it's possible with the others, just taking wingspan into consideration:

I stand corrected, I have underestimated the strength of those engines.

I think when you land a non-carrier aircraft on acarrier, it is respawned in the air after being repaired. Like how the army fighters spawn just above the carriers at the start of the match. I've only attempted and succeeded with an A20G, but I was killed before the repair finished.
