D 520 and Boomerang combat tactics ?
i bought the Dewoitine 520 starter pack (just for the plane to be honest) and later bought the CAC Boomerang mk 1, i would like to use them to there full potential, (i do fly and (dog)fight with the d520 well, although i am not the best at it) can anyone suggest working combat and dogfight tactics for those planes ?

Okay i have all three.

D520. i use it like a spitfire and i get results. i even give spit's headaches. doesn't have a lot of canon ammo and that's it's big drawback. it's good overall at BR 3.3. You might need to look up more for this one. i don't have a lot of time in this one. *played tons on the D.521 on Ps4 back early last year late last year"

2. CAC Boomerang. It's good at low alt. but sadly is overtiered to hell and back due to the fact that the old MM system made it OP. use it as a low alt fighter. it's slow but is good for base defence on dom matches.

Hope that is what you need.

Also go here for some nice user made skins for planes/tanks: http://tiger.ddns.net/index.php?entrys might have to google "war thunder custom skin XXX" if there is none.

also welcome to the D.520 and CAC Boomberang club.

LupisVolk, thank you for that information

i do firmly dogfight in the D520 and my only fear with this plane is the A6M series

though so far i used the Boomerang as high altitude bomber/fighter interceptor

thank you again for the info, ill try those tactics out, good luck and hunt !

I have them all as well, the boomerang is a real beast. out turns most things and has great firepower. shame that they nerfed the hell out of its BR.

d 520 i dont use much due to its ow cannon ammo count

I use the Boomerang a LOT, even against 5.30-ish planes no problem. The tactic to the Boomerang is to fly close to the surface so you can take the advantage of being slow. The upswing is you've got a pretty good turning radius, and your armor is fairly decent so you CAN take a beating if things get somewhat intense. The guns are very accurate, but try to burst them for about 2 seconds at a time as that seems to be most effective for the ammo count.

Here's what NOT to do:

- don't engage on anything more than 2 on 1's.
- don't fly into swarms; stick to the outside of the battle and pick off people as they come in or fly out.
- don't pick a fight alone with someone who has an edge on you (Japanese = death)
- don't forget your radar. People (mainly German planes) will see you from high up and think you're easy pickings... which ends up being them diving in at you constantly. Keep that in mind because this plane is stubby and wide, and from above you're much easier to hit. You can use this to your advantage and clip their wings when they are recovering the dive as they go back up, just shoot into the body and they're toast.
- don't fly head on at speed with other planes. You're not fast enough to do the dodge and roll quickly if you're pacing yourself.
