KI-102 Suggestions and help?

Recently I have been resuming my grind down the Japanese line, and I got myself the Ki-102. I am struggling to figure out just what role this aircraft has. When I first got it I thought it was a ground attack aircraft like the Tempest, but I struggled to shoot any tanks. I did some research and learned for myself that this plane was designed to shoot down heavy American bombers, so I took it on a bomber-hunting role. So far, I can do this well in RB. I climb up, find some poor sap in a B-24 or a Wellington, fire slowly with 1 click at a time, and for the most part 1-shot them. However, I cannot get this to work on Arcade Battles because I just get completely outclimbed by FW-190s and picked apart before I have any chance to reach the enemy bombers.

What is this plane's job in Arcade battles? I could play Realistic battles, but I would like to do some playing instead of waiting in queue.

Yea, I have tried to use it in AB, but it is outmatched by everything, and its gun can be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ at times. Just stick with RB, it shines there.

Ever since the bombers got nerfed, planes like these FW190s have discovered that they can rack up the RP points faster by killing the XP Pinatas [called bombers] instead of wasting time with silly things like other fighters.

Oh, what is that? You're a heavy fighter trying to shoot down bombers? You also look like a tasty XP Pinata to that enemy FW190 as well. A very welcome sight.

[Until this dynamic gets changed, right now it is a terrible time to grind bombers and more especially the heavy fighters designed to hunt them down].

If there is any advice I can give you about the Ki-102, it loves to fly at high speed (ie: 400 km/h).

I think I will just stick with flying this thing in RB (where the worst it faces at high altitudes are American expiremental craft) until Gaijin makes bombers more, how should I put this, popular.

this kind of plane used to be dominant in the bomber killer role, but now you can easily destroy almost any bomber with 50 cals.

If you must play this thing in arcade, all you can really do is keep high up as often as possible. Go head on if your feeling lucky with that 57mm, other than that, your pretty much at the end of the line with Japanese heavy fighters.
