German 250kg, 500kg and 1000kg are the best bombs in the game, but as individuals not the most powerful. These bombs are a good reason to shoot down any German bomber ASAP as most of the planes that can carry them can also very accurately bomb as well, not just level bombing but low alttitude/dive bombing even, aircraft like the Ju88, Do217, Ju87, Me410A-1/B-2 (not fighter variants) etc etc. All can carry between 1000kg-4000+kg bomb loads, which is instense while being accurate enough to pick off individual moving targets with 1-2 bombs each.

He111 is Germany's only true level bomber. They can carry from 1600kg to 2250kg of bombs.

The 4000lb one is actually a bouncing bomb look it up
Not sure which bomb you are talking about but if it looks like a barrel like the guy said, it may be the dam buster bouncing bomb.

4000lb blockbuster bomb was basically just a big barrel full of explosive falling straight down, and had to be dropped from rather high. They were used to take off the roofs on a maximum area so plenty little incendiary bombs could do a maximum of damage...

Dam buster bombs were also barrels, but spun and had to be dropped rather low, they were specially developped for Operation Chastise, 2 dams destroyed, 1 minor damage, and that's afaik all dambusters were used for.

Quite different bombs really, and seeing as to how many players have a hard time using torpedoes or capping, I don't think they'd be able to use dambusters ;)

Please tell me you're being sarcastic.

Imperial units were defined in the 1800s by the british.
The metric system was defined in the 1700s by the french.

But yeah, metric system best system.

The weights and measures acts may have formally defined imperial units, but many of these definitions were based on older ones.

the 4000lb bomb the brits carry was called the "cookie" or "cookiecutter" bomb. The Mosquito could even carry one.
The larger british bombs were called the Grand Slams.
Tho the b17 doesn't have as big a payload, I'd take it over every other bomber in its class. It was a truly glorious hard working aircraft that pretty much defined what a bomber was.

it's not 4000kg, it's 4000lb. Now the biggest bomb is il-28's 3000kg

You're both wrong. A base need 3000 KG to be destroyed.
*looking at IL-28*
