This, satelite sucks for ANY online game that requires a low ping rate i.e. shooters.

With a high ping you'll experience a lot of "sparks" where you hit the plane but it remains undamaged because it turned in a different direction before you shot at that spot, but ping didn't let you know the enemy had turned until it was too late. So, expect plenty of frustration :(

Since tanks don't move that fast however that might be less frustrating.

sattelite has high download speeds, but frightfully slow upload speeds. The latency will kill any online gameplay you try.

you will find your answer is 'no'.

Either listen to us, or find out the hard way.

Wurfy, check if there is any WDSL (Wireless DSL) providers in your area. [I'm assuming the reason why you can only get satellite internet is because you'll be in a rural area?]

Wireless DSL is where they place an antenna on top of your roof and point it at the nearest cellphone/broadcast tower. My pings with that were excellent and I was able to game that way. The downside of WDSL is that the speeds are limited, such as 256k up and 1.5m down, max.

OP
I had excede for a while. Online games are rough but if you need a quick fix of War Thunder it's better than nothing. Planes are bouncing around like laggy, so if you wanna do some bombing thats much better than fighters but all in all I suggest telling yourself the answer is no, you can't have an enjoyable experience on sat
