Self Sealing Fuel Tank (American Planes)
While I can not speak for other nations' planes. During WWII it was a standard practice to fit self sealing fuel tanks on american planes. self-sealing tanks were tanks used to minimize the damage from leaking or burning fuel, and the fuel that would burn would not usually be enough cause catastrophic structural failure. Is this just for the video or something? The B-17G is a prime example of an American plane that has them.
I think all bombers from B-25 on have it in American tree. Not sure about fighters though.

Try posting on the War Thunder forums under suggestions, see what kind of response you get.

aye but, when you get continualy hit, its going to catch fire XD, don't forget we have way more accuracy in this, than in IRL.

and ironicly enough, they are using only a 50 call.. no 20mm shot at it. XD nor are they firing alot of 20mm or even a 30mm.

I'm guessing you're one of those who don't want US planes to have them because you're afraid they work against 20's? :)

i'm sorry they aren't going to work against alot of 20mm's or 30m's i think they should just remove all the bombers TBH. no point other than ARCADE spam.

but i see why, they are here. and there is footage from 109 piolts ripping b17s in half so they still wen't down lol.

In fact your fuel tank is what kill you the most after wing/tail ripping, fuel tank fire is nearly always a instant kill , or your rip your wing by doing a diving maneuver, if you have the chance to do so

American aircraft and the other nations that had these already have these on the aircraft that had them.

That's what I figured. It's still possible some are missing though, we can't really test it.
