Rage Quitters
There should be a punishment for rage quitters more than a delay in vehicle availability.

Seems to be happening more and more. Pretty pointless when a quarter of the team RQ's and you're just gonna lose eagles if you spawn and get killed in the spawn because the other team has just walked through the map unchallenged.

World of Tanks introduced an automated ban for leaving the game before your vehicle was destroyed, seems like people are just drowning themselves instead. Anyway, WarThunder even has a self destruct mechanism ('J'), that has to be removed as well if leaving the game early should be punished.

AND, shouldn't rather the spawn point be protected somehow?

They had the inviciblity thing when you first spawn in planes a while back, don't know if that's still in the game?

I have no idea, I have never experienced the other team camping at the spawn point when playing aircraft. It's sometimes a problem when playing tanks though.

I sometimes bail when I am killed by planes in a tank battle. Nothing Gaijan can do to stop that, as long as planes are in tank battles. It simply means I have more money for other games, since I will never spend a penny on a tank when it can be magically killed by a tanker magically transported into a magical plane. :)

there is a multitude of reasons why players leave, and most of them are not malicious.

Be a very hard line to regulate.

No thx. The J function should be there, so I can press J every single time when a teammate shoot at me with his/her MG. And when u are in a plane and u know u cant escape from a enemy, J is a best solution for that situation, b/c the enemy wont have a change to kill you to get RP/lions.

the J has to stay, its the only way to respawn if you get stuck.
Bogey Apr 23, 2015 @ 7:11am
I'm not saying the 'J' should be removed, I'm just saying there's no point in punishing people for quitting the game without removing the 'J' at the same time. In my opinion it's no point in introducing punishment for leaving the game at all.

agree wholly, becasue it is jsut speculation on the reason why anyone leaves.

This is a multiplayer game, if the game itself starts punishing the players, they lose those players..... not a good business model ;)

Doesn't work anyway. Just look at World of Tanks. If they can't find a lake to drown themselves in there's always the ever popular 'suicide run', driving your tank at full speed right into the enemy line, guns blazing. Gets you out of the game quick enough, and leaves the team with exactly the same problem they had before the automated ban ...

Depends on game mode here.
Also depends on the line up people are using.

In realistic tank battles if you die without doing anything, the only option is to spawn in AA and if you don't have an AA in the line up then the only course of action is to leave the match because you can't spawn.

In arcade and sim modes i you have a set number of spawns depending on tank type (unless this changed i only play realistic tanks or arcade planes)
So in realistic people leave simply because its the only thing they can do and believe that the rage quitters are more centered around arcade battles.
