Since this tank is property of Germany, they should send it back to Germany ! Germans had to send back captured tanks, so they should do the same and not just hold it there. It's history!
Thought so ;)
This is a pile of crap !!! I remember Germans being ordered to Russia to remove German tanks and weapons, but when it comes to the MAUS it is not German property anymore ? Come on !
Also, it is not how a war in this time worked. It was and still is German property. Google for it if you don't believe it.
But what kind of museum just "cuts out" the stuff that doesn't pertain to yourself? Here in the US, our museums usually cover both sides. The revolutinary war ones have the british guns and uniforms along with US muskets and ships. I've been to historical sites in the south, and they have places both "heres where the south kicked the north's ass" and vice versa. We have german panzers, NVA T-62s, hell, at an airport about 20 miles from where i live theres a display of 5 planes (Mig-15, Sabre, F-4, and two others i dont know, but they ain't American)
They probably used it as an argument ! They just don't have the cash to restore the Maus..A T34 is very easy restored, but not THE Maus.
