There are tanks that have high profiles, and there are tanks that havent. Not to mention the difference in gun depression between each tank. You cant see the enemy, doesnt mean that they cant see you. And in the most case, you get shot b/c they shoot at the very top of your turret.
Nah u can still use movie setting without turning on the grass. It is a feature, not a bug.
It doesn't influence the visuals that much anyway, you'll get used to it fast enough
As for the issue voiced in this thread.. I agree with Razberrie, it's totally a connection issue
I don't experience anything mentioned here
Although there was couple of times when tanks warped. But that's, like, literally couple of times in a ♥♥♥♥-load of gaming sessions
Oh, and just remembered: there was also a time when I looked straight at the opponent's tank but didn't see the enemy tank shooting and didnt hear the sound of impact, but my tank got damaged.
Maybe this is how your sneaky opponents got you. You just have this problem much more often, guess your connection with the War Thunder server is not that great. Or you have an option ticked in your settings to connect you with some other distant servers except your "home" server
