How to play with the b29?

I recently got the b29 and it is a beast!, got a huge bombload and takes a beating but what i would like to know is how to play it properly? should i go for bases or ground targets? Fly at high alt or dive to get some speed and stay at low alt?

You forgot germany, oh and against japan, i disagree their planes are made of papers, easily lighterd by 50 cals.

The B-29 is a massively huge target and a bullet magnet. Always stay at high altitudes (as with any heavy bomber) fewer fighters to mess you up, and those that do get to you will have to lose speed climbing, and be at the mercy of your bajillion guns in the meantime.

I would recomend going for bases and static targets, can be hard to hit a tiny little armoured car cruising along a road from 6,000km in the air. But, since the B-29 does have a huge ass bombload, could just fly parallel with a road, and carpet bomb the entire thing.

NEVER dive to low altitude, you will instantly have every fighter in the game on your 6 trying to shoot you down, as you are a huge, and if your in this situation, an easy kill.

CLIMB CLIMB aaand CLIMB. Also try to make enemy sit on your six and use turrets manually.
I would suggest you to go for bases with heavy bombs but it depends on battle situation if you can't then go for venichles columns. However going down is not a good idea.

thanks mate! but do note that the b29 is also a flying monster it takes tons of 20 mm to kill it.

Well most likely you shoulnd't meet enemies at all because on b-29 era they have strong cannons making it easy to kill you though it's actuall for all bombers. But if you met someone the main idea to make him sit on your six or make any other mistakes so you will be able to damage his engine or kill the pilot.

From the first 10 games with the b29 i actually managed to kill the person sitting on my six almost always, once my wing was shot down and my bombers started a spiral death, one lucky shot to the engine and the enemy plane was on fire, i believe the b29 gunner ammo is pretty good.

As i said the main point is climb high enough if the map has clouds its even better. Go for 7km atleast but the more higher then better. I doubt anyone will go for 8-9 km to hunt you. Actually most dangerous plane you should be aware of is Thunderbolt it can climb really high. Ofcourse i hope you not going to play with bomber in Realistic battles on the stable basis.

You should get the point and Japan is not so weak like what you think.
