How to Kill IS-1?
Simple, no matter what Line up I use I can't kill them, at the moment I enjoy playing Axs BR 4.7, and american tank 5.0 BR and Russian tank 5.0 BR.

No matter what tank I use if I meet an IS-1 I am dead, does anyone have any tips?

Shoot it in the side probably? I'd reccomend finding the tank in the garage, previewing it, and using the armor viewer to figure out where its weak spots are.

Yeah of course, I use the IS-1 all the time and it feels like I die from literally anything that shoots,

The problem I have is that when I play RB then it's much harder to find the enemy ahead of time and flank them, however in AB when I flank one (If i can) I will shoot it in the side and most of the time it either doesn't pen (ty based 8.8cm pak gun) or it plinks off the angled armor.

Don't aim for angle armor, the round is more likely to bouce or to just not pen.

For the IS-1 and 2, from the front, shots often go right into the turret. Aim around where the gunners sight is or the coax MG, and most of the time, it flies right through.

it's not that hard people keep piercing my armor even by the front...

Usually it is easy to penetrate IS-1 at the side exactly between tracks.

Aim the canon, destroy its barrel, he can't shoot until he repair in the middle of the battlefield, ???, dead IS-1

Right, I understand that but it seems like the entire tank (IS-1 & IS-2) is angled armor lol.

I honestly dont bother shooting for the turret in RB mode, except in AB when you are so close it's an actual option. I'll try that next time thanks!

May I ask with what? I seem to either be a total noob at it (Most likey) or either have just horrible luck when it comes down to it since 40% of my shots simply bounce and the other 60% or so just hit but don't even pen. (My american T26 90 mm gun hit the side once and didn't pen lol)

Exactly, and I have the exact same issue when I play as my IS-1 as well. That's why I feel like I'm missing out on something.

Right, that's generally a good idea with all tanks but hard to do it seems. Any tips for destroying gun barrels? (I can count the times I have destroeyd a tank's gun on one hand)

Depends. If you want to detonate ammo or fuel, use APCBC (T26: T33 or M82 shells). Use the X-ray view and just look at where the ammo is. Typical of Soviet desighn of the era, a lot of it is on the floor below the turret. But with the introduction of larger shells such as the 85mm, they started doing what the Germans did and that is start to store ammo in the back of the turret. Just above the 3th wheel (that is on the ground) from right to left, ammo is stored on the floor. The rear of the turret contains the most ammunition along with some on the right side of the turret. An APCR (T26: M304 shot) through the front can sometimes pierce, break, and detonate the ammo. It has happened on my Tiger II (H) before.

Yeah thanks, I feel the low HE AP rounds used by the Americans often lack the explosive required to blow the ammo cache on most tanks.

Shoot through the driver port if you are in a Panther. 88mm have less pen power compare to 75mm, unless it is the 88mm on a Tiger II. Any shot from any gun to the side below the IS1 turret will kill it, You can put a shell through the turret ring by aim below the turret mantlet which can also kill it.
