Why do people go AFK?

So let me get this straight they made a tank game WT and people instead of using there tanks with what there ablities were meant for. They just wait out the game and or camp why? Some of them don't even move from spawn.

Quite often times after patches people are testing the accuracy of the guns. That seems to be why a lot of the stationary poeple I see are chilling out. Other than that I don't see a terrible amount of camping. I'm no expert but common depictions of WWII tank warfare seem to show "camping" soooo, it's realistic?
Also, have you tried talking to them? Some players move in with you if you ask them to cover you.

i ask people to "attack the D point" and "defend the B point" (if you catch my drift~)
but people seem to not care :'(

I haven't experienced this before, or maybe I just haven't noticed but if you see people intentionally going AFK then I suggest you report them under the "Other" category.

You never know the circumstances! Could be they have lunch, or dinner, could be they've been called away (You know what sme parents can be like) or maybe they just have got into a bad spot with people around them you haven't spotted? You never know :o

As pointed above, not everyone has luxury of standing infront of computer allday errday, phones ring, doorbells ring, microwave/oven does its job and player doesn't want to burn the house down just so he can finish the game, that aside, this isn't a competitive game, there's no ranks or prize to be won unlike lol/dota/cs, being afk in this game just means something more important than game has come up and they have to take care of it first.

Also, this is a war game, you can't rush out of cover guns blazing throwing shells left and right.

I tend to tab out of the game after I set it to find a match. surf the web while I wait. Once a match is loading, the tab will play that clicking sound at the beginning of each match to tell me i've been loaded. If I'm playing music, sometimes I don't hear it.

Well, some people want the points through victory. Also joined BOTS.

The other part is AFK because they are eating,are on toilet or having sex or whatever XD

tank destroyers arent really supposed to move up, because their armor isn't great but their cannons are.

OP, people are simply botting. Grind in the game is pretty horrible and slow and people just use bots to skip it. Every time devs nerf RP rewards, they incease grind and only make more people use bots.

Tank for tank fighting at range hull down is the better option for most as their turret is usually stronger than their hull and is a much smaller target while still being able to shoot back. Sadly this does make some fights very boring and slow. Gaijin will never get rid of this and neither will Wargaming as it is just part of online games. People camp even if their tank is best up close and personal.
