M4A3 vs Tiger 2

So, the M4A3 Sherman with 76mm cannon can easily, (and most often will be) pitched against Tiger 2s, which are superior in every aspect. How do I combat them?

Hang back, Let bigger tanks engage them, Then try to sneak around while their distracted. It's how i got my first kill on a tiger with my sherman 105. Snuck up behind him while he was busy fighting a t34.

That's usually the strategy I hear, but it's quite hard to sneak up on a player when they have 3rd person and giant red banners over my tank, plus 15 teammates. It's not impossible, it just shouldn't be the only tactic.

Basically : shoot the turret or near the motor at the flank, one destroy its turret control and knock out its crew the other amorack the tank, if you can't do both shoot the gun barell, a tank that can't shoot isn't scary at all
