What Are Good Japanese Zero Tactics?
So yeah what are good manouevers for zeros? i mean i am talking about the whole thing like dodging fire or getting on someones 6 or escaping the area and retreating somewhere. Also i know the zeros are good at turning and stuff but i want to do more than just turn in a circle to win a fight i want to know how to use my weight to use gravity and gain air speed.

keep in mind i like to play SIM battles and i also play realistic alot so don't worry about me not adapting to new ideas and such. Another thing is that i want to be able to know how to aim better i usually can get in PERFECT firing position and i miss, so any tips are appreciated, in fact any tips for anything are useful, don't send links or they will be deleted, so to give advice just use the comments section. so thank you to everyone that does give advice

Get vertical, the elevators may be meh on the zero but those loops will get you on the tail of anything in the game dumb enough to not complete their pass.

Well I used a tactic where i would spin in a corkscrew down if someone was diving and it works in two ways. One they rip and Two they waste ammo or turn back up. I did this manouever on an
F8F and it took him twenty minutes before he did enough damage to get me. I done it another time against p51s and if they commit they rip.

Don't be stupid enough to HO ANYTHING, Use your superior maneuverability to your advantage, and avoid being shot at all costs because even the smallest round can light you up like a bonfire.
these are all good advices, thank you and feel free to give more if you want

If a U.S plane encounters a zero, His first maneuver should be to try and HO the hell out of you, Then if he's in an akward position, Dive away to regain momentum and line back up for another HO shot. So be aware of that.

practice with usa hawks-translates well.

Float BNZ
Gain lift so you dnt need to turn fight-use your up weft as your pointer
anticipate ahead.keep speed 250kmph plus
sure you can dogfight but there always more of them wanting you
hit from the side-top/side keep distance you need good vision

Chicken BNZ
practice dodging bnz by baiting them-look like your unaware
half turn as they come and if they miss your on them and get a kill

But i guess any hits a dodgy thing- even so a good bit o smokes a tool too.pretend to fall
use any sneaky things terrain-pretend to pass and undercut anything to fool them.
try planes that can kill zer0s-i take g50 and mc200 yul be suprised how effective they are against the spits and zeros-yul learn who not to take on

save you best planes for mid battle that way you can guess the best are gone
zeros are wasted on first strike and head ons-you wanna prey the bnz-s

Turn, then turn some more, then Turn some more again, then turn into your turn.

I fake a headon then try to turn around and get off a few shots, its even better if they immeddiantly try to come around for another pass. I'm not sure if this works outside of arcade though, or if RB or SB players are as stupid as AB players.

Boom and Zoom, as opposed to TnB - "Turn and Burn".
BnZ (or "energy fighting") means climbing to a good altitude above your target, and then attack them in a dive to their altitude. After the attack run, the speed you gain from the dive is used to climb back to altitude, and prepare the next BnZ attack. If you fight in BnZ style, you do *not* want to do a lot of turning with your enemy, as that costs you a lot of your energy, and makes it difficult to get to a good altitude, again.

As opposed to that, TnB (or "turnfighting") means that you try to bait your target into wasting a lot of energy on turning and dodging until you have the upper hand in maneuverability to shoot them down, or until they slow down too much and crash because of stalling.

Most aircraft in the game are specialized towards one or the other type of maneuvering, and very few craft can do both to a good degree. The Zero, for example, is really good at turnfighting, but not very good at energy fighting, while it's the opposite on most US aircraft. And if you fly a specialized craft like that, you generally want to avoid trying to fight in the opposite style, because you're playing to your own disadvantages that way.

1. use the one with the lowest BR. They seem the same exept the N but the N is still very good at its BR.
