I tend to penetrate Shermans very easily in my Tiger. I can't say anything about the Tiger 2, however in my stock ferdinand, which has the same gun, I can penetrate them very easily. However, the 76mm Shermans have a very good mantlet, I've had them bounce shots off multiplate times.
Only towards the end of the word did the quality really decline. Forced slave labour due to constant bombing, and poor quality of metal due to the lack of resources. Unless you're speaking mechanically, where the over engineered German tanks would break down much more often than any other nations' tank. However, since this is not modelled within the game, that is irrelevant. Combat wise, the tanks were worse towards the start of the war, for example during the Second battle of El Alamein, when the Sherman saw first combat, they absolutely annihilated the German tank columns, which is (on top of superior tactics and Montgomery being an excellent leader) why the North African theatre was won. Later in the war, the Shermans were much worse, even with the 76mm the armour was basically paper, however the M26 fixed this when it fought in the few battles it managed to arrive to.

If anything, they feel like they've been secretly nerfed since update.
Theyve been out for like 3 months.... and US tanks are still A large amount... Even on low tiers theres a large amount....
Your point being?
They are in the game so people play them, and there are only 3 nations to play in ground forces, do you want people to vacate US line because there are too many players going for it? They are in no way "OP" as you claim just because you can't deal with them
Have a problem dealing with them? go to tank you're having problem with and inspect its armour and modules and try to figure out where to shoot to be most effective. If you fail to find any weakness the google is your friend.

First of all... How are u supposed to get to their side... THE ENEMY TEAM are filled with Shermans... Since they have Sloped armor at the front and have a OP gun.. u cant even get to to their side...
depends on variant that you are facing,
M4A1 can be pierced by shooting mg port and transmission or if you have enough penetration you can go for turret cheeks,
M4 has armored turret so you shoot small lesser sloped plates infront of driver and machine gunner, coax MG or transmission itself
M4A2 and M4A3 short barrels has turret cheeks and MG port to pierce
M4A1 (76)W , mg port and transmission
Have yet to meet any other sherman variant on field to know its weak points. they're not invincible from front. Only Sherman you can't take out from the front is Jumbo.
every us tank destroyed the side of my heavy tank with one hit so yeah my aphe and hull breach did nothing on the weakpoints of the us tanks. even the first tank you have that is us destroyed me.
Seems someone has a hard time to epically own US tanks, though it's not that hard.
I never knew the amount of Ammo had anything to do with getting racked. Glad to hear that.
The tank battle portion of this game is 10x better than World of tanks. <3 it so far.
