Chinese flags everywhere
Have anyone else noticed that in the past 2 years many tanks and aircraft have been plastered with the Chinese flag? What's that about? It's completely fine, but I just find it weird since you never see this kind of spam with any other flag. It's just everywhere these days. In 9 out of 10 battles I see at least one Chinese flag if not more. Does anyone have a theory about this or am I just over-analyzing the situation?

Yes, I noticed this a while ago. No clue whats it about. Thought maybe the flag came with a chinese premium or something but I never looked into it.

I very much doubt that it's strictly Chinese players that are using that flag. Not with this many flags appearing in every game.

You're thinking of the PRC Client run by Gaijin's partner for that, Tencent. That one had no connection to the international client we have here, and was usually 2 years behind on updates, being only different in (1) having a chinese tree, and (2) censoring country names/flags and in some cases roundels. It did not play in matches with us.

When you do see PRC players, they're usually playing here through a VPN.

Yeah alright, i knew it was on a completely separate arena, but did they close it down tho? If they did, many of the players on there likely went over here to play

Simple as a VPN, alright. Good good.

lots of actually chinese players but i also suspect some do it for the joke or edgy political reasons like the 'Z' symbols

Interesting that these Chinese players are willing to risk their livelihood just to play War Thunder.

So are they all patriots now or what ? Whats the point of putting one's country's flag on a vehicle in the first place. It's a video game, no one is doing their country a " good deed " by slapping a flag on their vehicle, what a joke.

What do i know. maybe it's to say "hi I'm from china", maybe to find people from the same country to play with or a thousand other reasons. Some are patriots , some like their flag cause of the colors or it reminds them of their childhood or good times, sport events, some wanna confuse Tiran.

An interest in numbers, I've seen this in other games.. and in those games when it happened the mass cheating began to really take off.
