yeah p400 is ok, however it's a good plane once you get the hang of it. Are you using a mouse or joystick?
the p39n I like better, it's faster, and more maneuverable than the p400 and also has 4 7.7mm, 2 50 cal, and 1 37mm cannon.
ah, well no wonder your having issues with aiming. As you probably know by now, WT has very bad joy support. (I personally flew 4-5 months of WT on my logitech extreme 3d pro but was forced to mouse due to the competition I was now facing at tier VI and V.)
So now that I know where your coming from, I can give some tips:
1. Don't fly any plane that has a single big cannon on it (like mig 15, p400, and especially kingcobra). You will miss a ton. Your better off with planes like the kittyhawk and hellcat so you can aim better because you don't have to worry about guessing where the bullets will go.
2. Here are the planes that I've gotten good at with that joystick and are stable, F6F hellcat, F4F wildcat, p47 thunderbolt, and F4u Corsair lines.
What do you play AB or RB? this mainly applies to AB.
I play AB. I already have the P47 Thunderbolt & P40 Kittyhawk and your right about their stability. I like your advice about the Wildcat, Hellcat & Corsair. I'm going to go for them & hope to have the following line up: P47, Hellcat, Wildcat, Corsair & B25. I presently have the B25 because I enjoy bombing. I appreciate you taking the time to advise & help me out. Thanks
Also, when you can get the F4U-1C Corsair with the 20mm cannon, not only is it stable but you can get kills really really quick. Fun plane.
Since your a joystick pilot in this game, I highly highly recommend going for SB, I went directly from AB to SB and loved it!
For now I switched back to AB so I can grind to jets (got my first one 2 days ago, the f9f panther).
Once I achieve my line up I'll try SB. Congratulations on your f9f Panther!
thx! It's a wonderful plane.
Here are a few tips i've learned over the past 2 days with jets:
1. Get used to flying it. Jet's are really challenging to fly since they go so fast.
2. Learn to shoot, your flying 2 times faster than any prop plane, so you need to make all your shots count.
Anyways, some future tips when you get your jet lol.
Thanks! Happy Flying!

That's quite a line up!
