M103 heavy tank.

Hey ho.

I just noticed that I am going to unlock the T32 as next, afterwards I have to unlock the M103 heavy tank, which is a tier 5 tank and the last I actually research ( I don't care much about patton or other tanks ).

However, enough small talk ! What I wanted to know is simply, is there anything I need to know about the M103 ? Like a different gameplay I have to get used to ? Or a big benefit of the M103 which I can use against other tanks like IS or TIGER ?


Would be nice to get some informations out of players who actually got the M103.

Rush for HEAT, 380mm of pen at all ranges with a velocity of about 1100 m/s. its uber STRONK.

It's HEAT round has 380mm of pen at all ranges, it's primarily a long range killer. Has nice sloped armored sections on the turret and upper and lower glacis. Has sub-par side and rear armor, even for an american tank. You will be penetrated by the ISU-122, Jagdpanther, IS's. As long as you stay far away you win the pen battle.

Pretty simple, the M103 heavy tank was in service from 1957 until 1974. So as you can see it is a tank which has to be built after the world war. Also War Thunder contains several aircraft, armoured vehicles such as tanks and ships from the Spanish Civil War to Korean War period. So the M103 tank.

The development started in 1948. In 1952 the order was placed for production of 300 vehicles to fight in the Korean War. The tank was designated as M103.



Is that enough input now ?

The M103 is on the right place in War Thunder. If you think that War Thunder is only about second world war vehicles you are wrong, cold war vehicles have also place in War Thunder.

Thanks. In my comparisons of the M103 and other tanks of the same BR, it far exceeds the armor and firepower of other nation's tanks, particularly Germany. It's a simple matter of imbalance, that's all.

Yes it does, it is normal though. Germany doesn't got any cold war tanks, so ..sure that the M103 is superior.

If you compare the tier 5 IS tank with M103 you are going to see that the M103 is not superior, only in some parts. So I don't really get your point sorry.

Yes, the video does say everything I want to know, and I don't say it doesn't. I am just saying that it is boring, the voice is boring, it's too much blablabla and not enough facts, it doesn't bring it to the point quick enough.

I play War Thunder because I enjoy it and it is fun, there is no connection between the video and War Thunder..the only connection is that the guy is playing WT and is talking about it.

Yeah, that's how the game is like, it is still a boring video lol.


But because you are butthurt of my own opinion I am trying to give you an example: Imagine you watch a documentary about sharks, one documentary is made by crocodile hunter and the other documentary is made by a random guy which you never can see and you only listen to him talking pretty monoton. Which one would you prefer ? Sure, both documentaries include ALL informations you need to know about sharks, but they are still different. So do you know what I mean ? Do you understand that it is no the cake you are trying to sale, that it is the package which the cake is in ?

So..no offense man, I just tried to give you a very very simple and quick review on this video. Sorry if I " wrapped " my review in a too hard tone.
