Grinding in Air RB

So I've been noticing that a lot of my RP isn't actually going to new vehicles and I am wondering why. Like I have lost about 30k RP in the last couple of weeks which for me is a lot of RP because I don't play Air RB much anymore, about 30k out of 65k or so though it should be mentioned that around 15k was eaten up by the rank mismatch feature when I was flying my SU-33 to unlock some mods for it before bringing it to ground RB to play CAP.

edit: including last match I lost ~7k RP when starting a new vehicle, I had a little over a 100 RP left to grind to get one plane and then when I selected another, the plane was at the same rank and only 13k to unlock (foldered FW-190) it gave me 0 RP and says I still need 13k more to unlock the plane. I really don't like playing air RB because of the markers over players and the missile markers at top tier but I loath how awful the grind is in ground RB so I occasionally go back to air RB to make a little more RP, for reference if you win a ground match with 5 ground kills and 6 air kills with a plane you make about 2.5k RP and for air RB you only need 1 kill with the same plane to make 5k RP, the FW-190 Dora in this case so the grind is pretty terrible in ground but at the same time losing so much of my RP to the void sucks and means my progress is barely more than that of ground RB.

If there any way to fix this issue?

Oh, I should mention that ALL RP does count towards my CRP and my modifications, it is specifically the RP in relation to the tech tree which gets screwed up. Technically I could still use it if I paid golden eagles for it.

there is a penalty for researching vehicles that are a different tier than the one your using.

what bris the plane your using, and what br is the plane your researching?
at worst its a 95% penalty

5.0. plane I am research is 5.0. Same rank as the plane I unlocked and 1 rank below the plane I am flying right now, rank 3 vs rank 4.

I have been playing way too long for that to be the issue. Also 95% isn't a factor here, I am loosing 100% of the RP put towards the new plane so...

Set to friends only, it's because I uploaded them through the shift-tab steam overlay instead of doing it on the desktop, I was loading into a custom match to test a bomb loadout so I didn't close the game lol.

So i see your problem u are using Fw 190 d-13 looks like its not passing its research points on to planes guess its a bug with the Fw 190 d-13 as its no longer in the game to buy.
But if u want to research the Fw 190 D-9 use a Fw 190 in the tree and dont use anything that is 2.0 under the thing you are trying to research and take the Fw 190 d-13 out until u have the Fw 190 D-9

I use other vehicles that have been removed from the game without any issues like the SAV-120, D.371 H.S.9, Swedish Thunderbolt, Type 74, M26E1, XM-1, LVT-40, etc and the problem occurred with other planes like the A6M5 ko and the A6M6c, both of which are premium and one of which is available via coupons in the market place (Though originally and like how I got mine, via the battlepass system). Plus the game doesn't really care if the vehicle is in circulation so long as the player has it, take the german Panther 2 and the upgunned King Tiger for example.
