I agree.
No matter if they start to go the CoD way and bringing out one game each year, nothing will change until they make their minds on what the actually want to do
While maps are part of the Problem I don't have an issue with the general idea of lane-based maps itself. It's all those many seemingly little things that sum up to a massive annoyance. And I believe they've got too much spaghetti code by now to be able to sort it out.
out of 10-12 matches yesterday:
- 3x spawned inside a tree or other object in a light tank so I lost quite some time to wiggle free - yep, map issue
- In Fields of Normady Battle got taken down by a "temporary invulnerable" dude while capturing the enemy point - again map fail to provide a line of fire from spawn to point.
- oiled maps - e.g. M44 sliding downhill trying to get up a mere 5° hill. Even worse if you're running on tires.
- sudden loss of gun depression abilites (that's new with the last update and no, not using the vertical lock on braking)
- 1x invisible tanks (when the game decides your view is blocked towards the tanks 10m straight in front of you)
- 2x invisible planes (sure, you can still shoot the contrails but it's still annoying)
- let me quote my squadmate on Discord "on my screen your shot didn't go anywhere near the dude you just killed". And in return getting blown up by shots that are rendered as massively missing you. (this has also increased recently)
and that's just the stuff I still remember.
