It takes a fairly long time firing to overheat an M2HB in-game so the pintle mounted M2s run out of ammo before overheating but it was ridiculous for the VADS Jr. (T77E1) to be able to fire its +1000 round belts all in one go without overheating.
The DShK, KORD, NSV, and Chinese derivatives all only have 50 rounds in a box so they can't really overheat just like the pintle mounted M2HB.
Same with pintle mounted 14.5 KPVs with the 40 round box however the KPVTs on the BTR-152s do indeed overheat because they have larger belts so they can keep firing long enough to reach the threshold to begin overheating. The Sd.Kfz 251 SPAA overheats too.
Every HMG in-game can overheat but whether or not it can reach that threshold is up to its fire rate and ammo capacity. This change is just bringing M2s inline with every other HMG.
