Why is the T-72m1 only 9.3?
This thing is an absolute driving pile of over powered ball crap, anything I have currently at my 9.0 British line up barely scratches this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing and when I even now know where to shoot it , 9/10 my shots just get eaten up anyway? , the thing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous

Darts work great against it. That you are discussing a UK 9.0 lineup suggests you've got a nearly stock Chieftain Mk10. Yes the stock APDS doesnt like angles. Dont shoot angles, shoot flats. Use the LRF and gun depression to pick fights and snipe.

Otherwise I suggest waiting to play the Chieftain Mk10 until you've got 9.3 unlocked. UK is stronger at 8.7 or 8.3 than it is at 9.0. Though much of the 8.7 lights do fine at 9.0. And the Earlier Chieftains largely play like the stock Mk10 if you absolutely have to have that medium gameplay.

See the issue is you're playing Britain, rookie mistake.
Sounds like a skill issue, T-72M1/ T-72A is pretty balanced where it's at, and is honestly a pain to play regardless of nation because like every other 9.3, it gets sucked up to 10.3 so often. Only thing it has going for it is a trolly upper front plate (with a giant weakspot), good gun, and goo forward mobility. Oh, and it's small. Other than that it's pretty mediocre with pretty poor optics, no thermals, and a crap turret traverse. I'd take a T-55-AMD or AM-1 over it pretty much every time.
I have the Hungarian version and I´m not to impressed about it.
It has decent frontal armor and a low profile and an OK gun but for me it feels very sluggish in overall mobility compared to the other Italian MBT´s at his BR like the OF-40´s (2A and MTCA), Leo 1A5.
-No neutral steering
-fairly slow turret traverse
-very slow reverse

I mostly die to faster vehicles on my sides instead from the front when playing the T-72M1.

using mk10 and dart rounds, 9/10 it just eats my rounds and no damage will even be presents, ill shoot direct at its breach, just to the sides, nothing most the time, and if I can a chance ill do lower plate... and the after damage is so embarrassingly ♥♥♥♥ that it always has a chance to fire back and kill me with ease. I have been even trying to use the vickers mk11 and VFm5 and no matter where i shoot these t72 series, they just eat my shoots up like nothing.

I whole heartledy have never come across a tank and thought dam this thing is busted...... but wow, the t-72m1 is beyond broken,

Going for the turret is a mistake. Go for the drivers hatch, or the LFP if face on. If you NEED to hit the turret, shoot just below the gun. Half the time you will kill it outright, and if not you've breeched/barreled it, and can probably reload for another round before it gets behind cover with the horrid reverse speed it has. If it's showing any angle whatsoever shooting for the drive wheel, or first road wheel will generally mortally wound if not outright destroy it.

Go into protection analysis and see where the weakspots are.
Many spots on that tank that can survive top tier rounds, but just like all T series tanks they are useless on 90% of maps

Aim for driver port, cannon breech or lower plate. If you knew this stuff already and still having a trouble it means you having a bad day.
The T-72M1 and A aren't as good as you think. The firepower and armor is strong, but the mobility isn't that impressive and the reverse gear is absolutely dreadful. The gun handling is terrible too. The weak spots in the armor are pretty hard to hide and shooting those is very effective at destroying or crippling them.

When you face a T-72, you should shoot either the lower front plate or the driver optics. The first will almost always lead to the driver dying and the ammo detonate. Sometimes, you will get another crew member. The driver's optics should lead to the death of the driver and at least another member of the crew.

If only the turret is showing, the gun mantlet works (fire on the part on your right close to the barrel and it should kill the gunner and destroy the breech. Otherwise, you can shoot the turret ring, but it's a tricky shot.

Yeah this is a big one. Britain is just ass. The tanks arent even BAD (though many are) its just that they do not fit the meta.
Thanks for all the advice guys, im just trying to use the vickers 11 and Vfm5 and the heat rounds are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard to get any good kills with lol

VFM.5 will be a golden jewel once you unlock the top dart for it, can't say anything about the vickers thing though.
it's probably because of the T-72's frontal applique armor which adds an additional 15mm steel plate as well as a backing plate behind the composite array.
This means your dart rounds will have a worse time penetrating the frontal armor.

I guessed that might be the case for the VFM , I normally never had much issues with heat rounds but at this BR they just get eaten or if I manage to bypass the armour , the shot has to be so accurate to kill and sometimes ill hit ammo and it wont blow up lol, i think its mainly the heat rounds doing my head in
