arcade name markers not showing any consitancy

you get name tags popping up on some guy 10 miles away from you, behind 2 mountains and a wall but jack ♥♥♥♥ when the guy you've been looking at for the past 40s in clear vision nothing

Playing top tier I can literally be chasing an enemy jet with less than 50 meters between our jets and I'll never see a marker for them whilst I will see a marker for a F-15 30km away without a single plane engaging or tracking them, the markers are weird and have gotten less useful and more a hindrance over time though this is RB rather than arcade.
