Be an adult, form your own opinion.
the grind is pretty managable if you only play ww2 stuff though.
personally i do enjoy the game especially simulator game mode for ground and air with a good amount of hours in the game.
dont fall into the trap of playing just for the sake of grinding, a lot of people really start to get burned out because of that and quit.
If it's WW2, then yes.
If it's Cold War and later, then no.
The grind above Rank 4 is abysmal and matches are flooded with people that buy one premium vehicle, die and leave the match, meaning often enough you will be faced with an uphill battle.
Once you get into top tier, the game also becomes a lot simplier, everything is made out of paper on the ground and rangefinder does the work of calculating ballistics for you, and in the air dogfights are essentially non-existent because the bulk of combat happens at over 10km with radar missiles.
mn 1-2 ranks will give you some fun, but when you go deep into how it works - you will wish a very painfull death to devs
These trolling/haters with their private profiles and 0 Steam level. Their opinions do not matter. Show us how long you played the game huh? Not just say you played the game.
To the OP, why post a question that opens trolling? Play the game and try it out... It is free to play. If you looking for reviews? Just look at the steam review or look up a video review. Playing 14 hours shows you should know if you like the game so far or not
Also spending over $300? I spent like less than $300 and grind to top rank. Also I only buy during sales... Plus, I never bought a "premium" vehicle to feel overpower or to skip to higher ranks.
The reviews are also all over the place, many coming from better times, the days of the revolt, or just from people that play specifically WW2 and don't experience the issues of people that come to the game based on modern advertisement.
"Just play the game and see for yourself" is how "Wish I Knew" lists come to be, it's smart to ask people that have experience if a game is worth being recommended to other people or if flashy marketing hides an unpleasant reality.
I would say you will probably have more fun playing lower tiers especially if you like military history. I prefer 2-4. Higher tiers require more time investment it depends on your tolerance for grind and loss. The players tend to be much better you have to be good and it can be expensive to lose repeatedly. The community is quite helpful for a PvP and there are surprisingly few cheaters. I think the premium modern vehicles are overpriced I would not consider buying them personally but a lot of people seem to really enjoy using them.
If you like modern warfare and want to just blow things up you are probably better playing something like Arma 3 or Battlefield. If you are the sort of person that like airfix kits, weird old military vehicles and statistics this is for you.
