Challenger or Comet?

Question for solid shot enjoyers which one of these British tanks you like more?

For me personaly im happy to sacrifece better gun and reload of Challenger for better depression of the gun and overall smaller size (turret) of Comet.

They both have their place. But I generally prefer the Comet. Its got plenty of gun for most situations. But depends who I'm playing against and what the map is.

Comet is better for flanking and killing medium tanks because of decent pen and velocity. Challenger is better for sniping, ambush and destroying heavies because of the 17pounder with apds (only when it works)
I have them both in my 5.3br lineup and work quite nicely being able to move around quite quickly

I used to main both but I found that the comet served me better as a backup going forward, driving alongside everything from the Black Prince to the Vickers and FV2001 or whatever that weird heavy tank is called after the BESH lobber. It's a better balanced vehicle that can adapt to the conditions of the match which is nice. I do still like the look of the challenger more though, it's weird but a nice weird. Both are good tanks I just think the Comet has better longevity for sitting in your higher BR lineups as you work to flesh out your 7.0+ lineup.

Historically the Comet tank was able to compete with Tigers and Panthers but this game is awful, so would not recommend either tank in this game. Basically useless.

Comet all the way, at least it has some curves and angles on the front of the turret that may cause a volumetric non-pen, Challenger is just a massive "please shoot me in the face".

Doubling down on comet. For the same reasons Fizzy and Flare stated. Plus we get 2, if you include the premium comet in the lineup.
