China needs to be buffed

Title.

At least for its 12BR Line Up. 9BR is absolutely amazing but 12BR is very much lacking relative to other Nations.

Not just does China have less available Vehicles to field but aside from looking cool they are also argueably among the weakest in the Game.

Just compare it with France - France got a total of six 12BR MBTs. China only has half of that (three) and they are also made out of paper. USSR and Germany got more as well and they are also way better. No Top Tier Squadron Vehicle or Premium for China either aside from the 11.0 Al-Khalid.

No Light Tank to take with you into 12BR, only one IFV with the ZBD04A and no domestic SPAA either (But i guess the TOR/HQ is good but haven't played those myself yet) and the ZLT11 is outright garbage compared to Stuff like the Centauro for example.

The ZTZ99A also has no APS even through it does have it IRL. Both the 99A and VT4 have Spall-Liners IRL. This has even been reported and accepted over a year ago - and yet nothing done so far. They also have stronger APFSDS IRL. They also have an faster Reload of 6 seconds and not 7.1. The in-Game Version is just an completely unrealistic scuffed insult to what they actually are capable of IRL.

So my suggestions would be : Add a new ZTZ99A with APS and stronger Darts, give Chinas MBT their Spall Liners and other missing features, which they have IRL, and folder it with the current 99A.
Add an capable Top Tier IFV like the VN20, VN22 and some from RoC like the CM34 maybe.
Add one or two nice domestic SPAA like the LD-35, Yitian II, FK-2000 and or Type 625E
Add the VN12 (with 105mm Gun) and ZTQ-15 as Light Tank for Top.
Add AFT10 'cause lol

This would at least bring China on par with most other Nations and also make it a lot more attractive for Players to grind the Tree.


Also China needs more historical Decals and Camouflages. Its not great that Nations like USSR, Germany and USA have dozens of freely available Decals and each Tank has a wide range of Camouflages to choose from whereas China only has its like ~four Roundels/Insignia and a grand total of....two free Tank/Aircraft Decal and all else are locked behind MP or were only available as FOMO Battlepass even through they were historical / real ones as well - not even shown/listed in the Customization and many Tanks for China only have their historical Camouflages available on the Marketplace. For example both the AFT09 and ZTZ96A digital Camouflage is only available on the Marketplace, many others don't even have it. And for the Tricolour Camouflage you got to pay as well whereas as said Nations like USSR, Germany etc. get so many for free


Just my humble Opinion. But it definitely needs a buff.

Look I have top tier tanks of Britain, USA, Germany and Russia and can confirm that M1A2`s made of Gaijin`s fiction values from the finger is just trash, no matter how you play it. The oposite player does not need even aim to kill your 3 crew members even from distance. It engine sound is just meme and you can hear it from all other sounds in battle. The spall damage is exaggerated and probably has the highest spall damage of all top tier tanks. Gaijin does not care it has kevlar liners at all.

Yea, i know that the M1A2 has its problems too but this thread was about China and not the USA, but still if we compare the ZTZ99A, WZ1001 (Prototype 99A) and VT4A1 with the M1A2 - the M1A2 is better. As said above already, the 99s have not just weaker Armour but far larger weakspots, worse gun depression, worse APFSDS, worse reload, worse line up etc.

I don't get why derail this topic now to make it all about just how much worse the USA has it when thats not even true

Maybe try playing China Top Tier?

There's already confirmed "bugs" (armor being modeled incorrectly) reported and acknowledged by the devs about China's tanks. God only knows how long it will take them to actually fix them though

Yea, the missing spall liners have been reported over a year ago and also have been accepted / acknowledged as well and yet still nothing.

Whole giant thread on the Forum just about all the missing features, wrong model etc. for the 99A alone

Would be amazing if they would work on that, but instead we get an Copy+Paste Russian Vehicle for Pakistan in Chinas Tree as an Event Vehicle, or the HQ-17 / TOR-M1 in Chinas Tree instead of something like from here https://forum.warthunder.com/t/potential-chinese-taiwanese-spaa-systems-thread/117747 for their AA/SPAA Line and what not

Almost seems like intentionally neglected and put bare minimum effort into; some issues are just mind blowing how they haven't been fixed

The fact the majority don't even get their digital Camouflages and most who do are locked behind the Marketplace, i think only the PLZ05 and ZTZ99A have the digital Camouflage for 200GE. And many of their historical / actually IRL used Camouflages not even available for that but on Marketplace or were in some FOMO Event.

All others simply have like four-five available Camouflages with only the basic desert and basic Winter Camouflages being the only ones you can unlock for free....

Thats just wrong yet again. T-90M and T-80BVM Armour at least works and their ERA is busted, Chinas have no Armour and non-working ERA. But Chinas MBTs look cooler and are faster. Also got reverse speed.

However thats just due to Gaijins Version of them being absolutely scuffed, they would be way better than a T-90M or T-80BVM if they were correctly implemented and why if they are just reskinned and worse USSR Tanks do you complain about the M1A2 being worse than them?

Nobody talks about minor nation MBTs. I bet if more people played Japan or France you would hear more complaints about Leclercs and Type 10s.
