G6 at an unreasonable BR

The G6 and the M44 are pretty similar: they're both HE slingers, they both have barely any armour and they dont have 360 turrets. However the M44 has a lot more crew, is faster, has tracks and neutral steering, yet it's battle rating 4.0 and the G6 is 6.7 despite being worse than the M44

1) Who cares about this cancerous class in the first place? Should all be deleted from the game, NOW
2) M44 has less max speed with similar power-to-weight ratio. It's only faster on really bad soil with tracks being superior to wheels. Also, noticeably faster gun traverse for G6.
3) Have you considered the difference in muzzle velocity? You might as well write 'Why is the German M44 4.0 and 15cm sIG 33 B Sfl 1.0? They're basically the same! Well, the latter reloads a bit faster and is smaller, should be 4.3'.

yes but the G6 has nearly no gun depression and barely any maps have perfectly paved roads so the m44 is nearly always faster, the m44 has neutral steering so the turret traverse doesnt matter not to mention steering is very bad on the G6, u have to do a 5 point turn just to shoot something you've spotted on your right whereas the m44 just needs to hold D for a second and then you're able to fire at it. And the muzzle velocity is still bad on the G6 and that shouldnt mean its an entire 2.7 higher than something better than it in every other way

One could make the argument that the G6 is over BR'd but not by comparing it to the M44.
You'd compare it to the M109s and might be able to make a case.

However, the speed, duel control and optics, as well as round (explosive mass, pen, velocity) are better in the G6. Particularly duel control, is worth some BR 'points' as failing to kill a G6 in a single shot it going to be deadly.

Because G6 uses the M1 rounds, wich is faster than the M107 fired from the short barrel of the M44 and has more TNT and thanks to that extra speed and TNT it becomes a decent AA

the G6 is also a Whealed vehichle with i belive Proxy rounds and a turret. So yea higher BR it gose its also not a open top and has some survivability unlike the m44?

Most i can see it close to tho as the G6 is M109s as they are similar but around the same BR

G6 is much worse than the M109. Not being able to shoot sideways or backward and quickly duck behind cover means you rarely survive to make a second shot. I think it might belong at ~4.3-5.0, but feels downright terrible at 6.7. I'm speaking from an Arcade perspective - it it less bad in RB?

i mean in RB ur not always spotted 24/7 so u can play better in RB in general from experience in both.

the G6 is not a tank it's supposed to be artillery not a tank destroyer you camp and shell at range well if it actually can be used as arty in this game

G6 could probably move down to 6.0, but I doubt any more would be reasonable.

it cant even pen anything at 6.7 even in a full downtier unless theres an open top vehicle or an AA (it struggles to pen any medium tank that isnt American) maybe 5.3 (it would get uptiered to 5.7) and even then cant pen the hull armour of the earliest panthers (addressing this to most replies)

Well...learning how using high caliber HE shells can be useful...
