cmon gaijin the Su-33 is gonna be dead on arrival. at least add something competitive at top tier for russian air just once.

Su-33 can't even carry R-77.

its the worst air tree starting next update at top tier.

i hope they at least push planes like the F-15E in BR up to 14.0 or 14.3.

edit: i just saw the news that its gonna be a squadron vehicle, they could have at least done it as a premium plane lol. Mig-23ML kinda bad right now.

guys only want better and better stuff. maybe its below the standard su27, so you got the airframe, but not the high tier weapons to slot it a br lower. mission design isnt prepared to handle modern fighters with the 15v15 small maps. thats why the missle trucks are meta and work at all right now. you really want stronger planes, with more missles, and stronger ones at that?

I personally want an airplane with guided air-to-ground munitions to annihilate AI ground targets in air sim. But according to the article, there's no use grinding Su-33, it won't get anything planes like MiG-27M have but unguided rockets and free fall bombs. And unlocking MiG-27M is going to be sooo much fun now that Gaijin turned my Su-7BMK into a useless pile of gargabe, having removed its bomb CCIP >:(

So yeah, I'm among the people who aren't excited over Su-33 being added

Its more of a trade off. It bleeds speed faster but also turns faster.

Su 33 is also heavier. Tbh there really isnt a big difference, they should have added something competitive for the soviet air tree. Not a more or less copy paste vic from the tech tree.

Exactly. Su-33 is just a more maneuverable, yet slower version of the Su-27.

And if I'm not mistaken, since the Su-33 is the naval version, it's able to fold it's wings to be more compact.

It's not supposed to be a top BR fighter for Russia, just another vehicle in the tree. Top tier wise this is the EF/Rafale patch.

IIRC even with slightly larger wings and canards, the SU33 is rated at 1g lower than the standard SU27 (8g vs 9g ratings), it's heavier and draggier. I think people on the official forums have the correct figures on them, you might want to check the Flanker thread there.

any SU-30 would do, SM has been leaked and that thing is going to be an absolute monster, right now an early SU-30 would be direct counterpart to F-15E R-77-1, R-73, guided air-ground ordinance with targeting pod. SU-30 would be SU-27 with better engines, radar and larger air-ground selection. SU-35 would be step too far right now
