War Thunder Battle Pass challenge that requires 10k mission points in air/ground/naval
This might be the best and fairest battle pass challenge ever. Every player has their main mode where 10k mission points is one day. But now you have to play the other 2 modes.
The naval mains will finish in one day but still need ground and air and so on. But you have 21 days. It is a good excuse to play modes you do not often play.
Currently I am at 3132 Ground, 2860 air, and 7676 naval. How are you all (players doing Battle Pass) doing? and don't you think it is a great way for us to have to expand our comfort zones?

after one day, finished the naval and over 3k on both ground and air and 20 days to go
Nah it's awful practice, one of the factors I'm quitting doing Battle Passes. Imagine people being upset because of 1-2 challenges in a season that require playing naval (not higher than rank III, there wasn't such challenge ever that required rank IV-VI ship, and getting to rank III doesn't get that long), but at the same time, there are at least 5 (five) challenges for which it is obligatory to play ground battles; and they even put challenges that require playing higher than rank III ground (kill X helicopters, with the lowest br helicopters being 7.7 in GRB, 9_2 GSB, not sure about GAB), or where higher tiers vehicles are more effective (like killing X opponents while moving at 30 km/h+ speed - clearly they imply it is a challenge for MBT owners in the first place).
That disbalance and bias towards TUTELTHUNDER annoys me, I'd rather all challenges could be completed in air/ground/naval alone, whatever you like the most, without the need to play all three. Most people who have already spent hundreds of hours and haven't dropped the game will try new modes out of curiosity anyway; forcing me to play ground in specific ways (Earn scouting kill assists, perform killstreaks with tank destroyers, bomb tankers with small caliber bombs, blow up tanks or helicopters with guided anti-ground missiles, weehee soooo fuuun isn't it? :steammocking:) only makes me wish playable ground vehicles would be wiped out one day >:(

Or AGM kills which would require a ton of players to get a jet that has access to them, so good luck anyone who was pre jets whether they had all nations props grinded or not.

Most the generic ones with vehicles easily accessible i dont care what mode theyre in or how annoying really since you dont have to go out of your way for some vehicle you may not of had.

You know, I decided to list all challenges from all seasons that required playing naval. Included ones that required killing players with torpedoes as well, although it's technically possible to cheat and kill your friend in simulator that plays for opposing team and lands on water with a seaplane or drives into water with a tank, let's stick to the fair gaming and our opponents being random people who have no intention to play along.


Season 1: no info on challenges on the Wiki :(

Season 2:
- Finish 25 battles on each type of vehicle: aircraft, ground vehicles, fleet
- Destroy 10 enemy vehicles of another type of military branches (Air, Ground and Sea)
- Destroy 1 enemy vehicle with each specified weapon types (Artillery strike, Bomb, Rocket (unguided), ATGM/AShM, Torpedo, Depth charge)

Season 3:
- Destroy a specified number of player vehicles using a coastal vessel gun with a calibre of at least 75 mm (30 vehicles)
- Destroy a specified number of player vehicles using any cruiser or battleship (30 vehicles)
- Destroy 30 player vehicles of each of the specified vehicle types (Ground vehicles, Air vehicles, Naval vessels)

Season 4:
- Deal a specified amount of damage to bluewater ships using a coastal vessel (15,000 damage)

Season 5:
- Destroy the specified number of ground and naval player vehicles using a strike aircraft (20 vehicles)
- Destroy the specified number player vehicles using a torpedo (10 vehicles)
- Finish the specified number of battles in each type of vehicle: aircraft, ground and fleet (30 battles each)
- Deal the specified amount of damage using a coastal vessel (30,000 damage)

Season 6:
- Destroy specified number of player aerial vehicles by operating the guns of the coastal fleet in manual mode (10 vehicles)

Season 7:
- Receive a specified number of mission points in each of the following modes: air battles, ground battles, naval battles (10,000 Mission Points on each modes)
- Destroy a specified number of player vehicles of each military branch while using a fighter (5 vehicles “Aircraft”, “Ground” and “Vessel”)
- Deal the specified amount of damage while using a coastal vessel gun with a calibre of at least 75 mm (20,000 damage)
- Destroy a specified number player vehicles using a Bluewater ship torpedo (15 vehicles)

Season 8:
- Deal the specified amount of damage using a coastal vessel (30,000 damage)

Season 9:
- Receive a specified number of mission points in each of the following modes: air battles, ground battles, naval battles (10,000 Mission Score on each modes)
- Destroy specified number of player aerial vehicles by operating the guns of the coastal fleet in manual mode (5 vehicles)

Season 10:
- Play a specified number of battles using each type of vehicle: Sub-chaser, Destroyer, Light Tank, SPAA, Bomber, Strike aircraft (3 battles each)

- Destroy a specified number player vehicles using each specified naval weapon: torpedo, rocket or missiles or anti-submarine rocket launchers (5 vehicles "Torpedo" and 5 vehicles "Rocket/Missiles/Anti-submarine rocket launchers")
- Play a specified number of battles while destroying at least one other ground/surface and aerial vehicle and capturing one point in each of the following modes: air battles, ground battles, naval battles (5 missions on each mode)

Season 11:
- Receive a specified number of mission points in each of the following modes: air battles, ground battles, naval battles (10,000 Mission Points in each mode)
- Destroy a specified number of ground and naval player vehicles each while using unguided aircraft rockets (10 vehicles "Ship/Boat" and "Tank")
- Destroy a specified number of player-controlled Bluewater ships with torpedoes using a coastal fleet vessel (10 vehicles)

Season 12:
- Destroy the specified number of player vehicles using each type of vehicle: Torpedo Boat, Light Tank, Bomber (5 vehicles each)
- Deal the specified amount of damage each using coastal fleet main weapons of various calibres: less than 21 mm, from 21 mm to 50 mm, greater than 51 mm (10,000 damage each)

Season 13:
- Deal the specified amount of damage while using a coastal vessel gun with a calibre of at least 75 mm (20,000 damage)
- Destroy the specified number of player vehicles using each type of vehicle: Motor Gun Boat, Tank Destroyer, Strike Aircraft (5 vehicles each)
- Play a specified number of battles while destroying at least one other ground/surface and aerial vehicle and capturing one point in each of the following modes: air battles, ground battles, naval battles (5 missions on each mode)

Season 14:
- Destroy a specified number of player vehicles of each type: Airplane, Helicopter, Ground vehicles , Bluewater fleet, Coastal fleet (3 vehicles each)
- Destroy a specified number player vehicles using a Bluewater ship torpedo (7 vehicles)

Season 15:
- Receive a specified number of mission points in each of the following modes: air battles, ground battles, naval battles (10,000 Mission Points)
- Deal the specified amount of damage using a coastal vessel (30,000 damage)

Season 16:
- Destroy the specified number player vehicles using a torpedo (10 vehicles)
- Destroy a specified number of player vehicles of each military branch while using a bomber (5 vehicles “Aircraft”, “Ground” and “Vessel”)

Season 17:
- Deal a specified amount of damage using a bluewater ships (20000 damage)
- Play a specified number of battles while destroying at least one other ground/surface and aerial vehicle and capturing one point in each of the following modes: air battles, ground battles, naval battles (3 battles each mode)

Season 18 (current):
- Receive a specified number of mission points in each of the following modes: air battles, ground battles, naval battles (10,000 Mission Points)
- Destroy a specified number of player vehicles of each type: Airplane, Helicopter, Ground vehicles , Bluewater fleet, Coastal fleet (3 vehicles each)
- Deal the specified amount of damage using a coastal vessel (30,000 damage)


If you don't count season 1, that's 42 naval challenges total for 17 seasons, 2.47 per season on average, with 3 1-challenge and 3 4-challenge seasons. Much better compared to the ammount of challenges that require playing ground battles, or are best completed in ground battles.

They are mostly pretty similar, and don't require some extraordinary behaviour as a rule. Just shoot your guns at an enemy at the right time and launch torpedoes, majority of ships are capable of it, and I tend to believe rank III Soviet bluewater+coastal would have been enough to complete all 42 challenges, they just have everything there: torpedo boats, coastal vessels with guns from less than 20mm caliber to 75mm+, ships with depth charges, destroyers with powerful guns and decent torpedoes, cruisers (for the challenge from season 3), anti-submarine rocket launchers; not sure about sub-chasers, however, did spawning any sub-chaser of any rank count towards the challenge (Play a specified number of battles using each type of vehicle: Sub-chaser, Destroyer, Light Tank, SPAA, Bomber, Strike aircraft (3 battles each) - you didn't even need to perform kills with it) as long as you spawned at least one other rank III vehicle, or must it have been rank III as well? Then, unfortunately, you had to research rank IV, as USSR only had sub-chasers at rank II and IV. The Japanese fleet had rank III sub-chasers and more potent torpedoes, plus cruisers at rank III, but for some challenges they wouldn't have been as effective as the Soviet fleet, plus Japan tech-tree lacked rank III+ strike aircraft (iirc, cos Ki-109 was moved from higher BR and rank since it was added, still much worse against ships compared to Soviet Il-2s and Su-6s). All in all, with just two nations, it was pretty possible to complete all challenges with relative ease, playing mostly as usual (in an effective and fun way)

Meanwhile, challenges for ground vehicles are...Nah, I won't even elaborate, you know yourself how terrible they are, how numerous they're. I was just surprised that in season 2, they already had a challenge that required killing opponents with anti-ground missiles or airborne ATGMs (which automatically implies ground mode, you wouldn't try hunting for airplanes in arcade, realistic or sim with Bullpups, Kh-23 or Mavericks, would you?), yikes!

Lol, that one i actually did in arcade air, left matches till i got an airfield capture and just hovered around waiting for enemies to land and cap and just dumb fired atgms at them while they were on runway. Simpler than using them properly. And arcade you reload in air so could just back off, reload and repeat.
but ya, stupid to need a vehicle that high for most people(already had a few id never used this time)

Of the 13 challenges in current Battle Pass I think I can complete 8 of them. Already completed 3 of the 8
Even if you got for free, do you think this battle pass is worth paying for? This is my first time not getting battle pass because the rewards just seem ass.

Purchased it for free, only playing for the crate at lvl 38 and the crate with decals from the warbonds shop...

already had every at level 38 currently level 47 with 3 challenges almost complete (Only Forward, Legio, heroic dash)
So in order to do this challenge you basically need 500 mission points per day in each of the modes.
Naval I got the 10k just doing my daily tasks in 1 day
I had over 3k in both air and ground.
Today I did my daily easy task by destroying 1 base in Air RB.
Then I played my ground battle. I paid no attention to the daily medium ground task (win 2 battles and be in top 4 on team) But the first battle I took 4 caps and team won and I was number 4. So I kept playing ground. I was never in the top 4 again but I kept playing and just finished the 10k for ground. I did get a few kills toward "Only forward" now 73 out of 75
So nothing left to do but fly 1 or 2 missions per day. (currently 3736 out of 10k) so I am ahead of schedule there. (need to be at 1k by tomorrow) Figure 3 missions per day should finish in less then a week (only need 2 but fly 3)

I had fully completed all challenges in 3 seasons earlier. The challenges of this particular season, aside from 'perform killstreaks with a medium/main battle tank', which is a new one never seen before, are almost nothing in comparison. But so are the prizes...the Thai Helldiver which is a puny gift for those who already own the OP B7A2 (Homare 23), and the boring French M46, as if M36B2 isn't sufficient with the same gun and AMX-50 (TO90/930) I unfortunately missed isn't a much better BP prize, because it was moved from rank IV to rank V and thus became a wonderful vehicle to research French ground up to rank VI, with more fun tanks awaiting for you there.

I don't mind when quests are just get x amount of score or x amounto damage or play this amount of missions.

What I hate are when the quests get oddly specific
nostalgia this challenge has brought me back to my first days of playing War Thunder when I wanted to be a pilot. I began by flying bombers. With the intention of becoming a fighter pilot. That never happened because I discovered I was a really bad pilot. Then I found naval.
This challenge has brought me back to flying....bombers. I needed 20 days of 500 mission point per day. Into day three I have 8331 mission points flying. I did both my easy and medium task to day in tier III bomber. So I am pretty sure I will complete this challenge.
